Andrew Nicholson won the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in early September. The win was Nicholson's third time to claim victory at this international-class event held in England.
Riding the 12-year-old Avebury, Nicholson was in second place before the show jumping phase and had one rail down, but his score took him into first place when the leading rider, Sinead Halpin, had three fences down and dropped to second.
Nicholson, who rides for New Zealand, is sponsored by Bluegrass Horse Feeds, a Team Member of Kentucky Equine Research.
