Wednesday March 9, 2016 - Nairobi Senator, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has demanded for speedy investigations into the murder of his bodyguard last week.

Speaking during the burial of Constable Bakari Tsuma in Kwale on Monday, Sonko said the brutal murder of the deceased was suspicious and that unless and until his killers are brought to justice, things will never be the same again.

His sentiments were echoed by Senator Boy Juma Boy, who asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene over the killing of police officers, especially from Kwale County, failure to which he should never set foot in the county.

He said former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was ready to take over the leadership of the country if Jubilee continuously fails to protect its citizens.

“This is not the first time we have lost our youth in the police force from Kwale. We want to be told why Tsuma was killed before anyone can think of campaigning here in 2017,” said Boy, an ODM Senator.

Sonko’s bodyguard was murdered over the weekend by gunmen moments after dropping off the Senator in Gigiri.
