Friday May 9, 2014 - Nominated MP, Dr Oburu Odinga, has today told journalists in Kisumu that three East African Presidents are planning to assassinate former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, who is currently on a two month official visit to the United States.
In a press conference in Kisumu, Oburu, who is Raila’s elder brother, said President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni and Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame hatched the assassination plan in the recently held East Africa Community (EAC) meeting in Kampala.
"East African Presidents are planning to assassinate my younger brother Raila Odinga,” Oburu, who was shedding tears, said.
He said the three Presidents are jealous of Raila’s international travels and they want to eliminate him like what late Jomo Kenyatta’s did to former powerful Cabinet Minister, Thomas Joseph Mboya.
Oburu also said he has a recorded conversation of the three Presidents planning the assassination of the "People's President" as he is commonly referred in Kenya.
