Wow, this meal is great on so many levels. First, it’s fun! No, that’s not true, it is F-U-N! Second on my favorite-things-about-it is that this meal is easy. E-A-S-Y! And then, like frosting on a cake, this meal is budget-friendly. You might even say CHEAP! And best of all? Your kids will love it. The star of the meal is Country Ribbon Corn Dogs.
My daughter knows every restaurant that serves corn dogs. She loves them! But I’ve never tried to make them at home before I found these Country Ribbon Corn Dogs.
Did you know that you can buy frozen corn dogs? We picked up some Country Ribbon Corn Dogs at Sam’s Club, for an unbelievable bargain price. Your area might have different prices, I paid only $9.98 for 30. That’s only 33 cents per corn dog!
The Country Ribbon Corn Dogs were super easy to make – just bake them on a cookie sheet; microwave; or deep fry. We decided to bake and they came out delicious! The coating was perfect – the best I’ve ever had. Delicious, light and perfectly seasoned and cooked. I tried microwaving them today for an after-school snack and they were super easy and delicious that way too!
But where is the fun, you say? I had some ornament kits leftover from last year and so we had a corn dog decorating party! I rolled out some wrapping paper on the table – I’m loving that idea more and more every day, it is so fun and inexpensive. It wipes up fairly well to last a meal or more and I’m using up old paper for a good purpose. We used mustard for the “glue” and dipping sauce. FUN!
First prize got eaten up pretty quickly and this meal is officially, “Kid Approved”!
