I fell hard for the Bluegrass Farms Project Life kit. I still have it out on my desk and I plan to do some more catching up with it. Bright colors, graphic patterns...this kit was right up my alley! Here's a spread I made w/just the main kit...
The stamp set in the kit is so fun! Here I used the large triangle (stamped in Mint Hint) as a corner accent for my 4x6 photo and then stamped the "so loved" on top (in Clean Slate). I'm currently obsessed with typing journaling on vellum (after reading that it was Tracy's favorite technique, I tried it and loved it!). Such a great way to add journaling over a photo or over a PL card that you don't want to cover up with journaling on regular cardstock. You can see here how I printed my journaling, then cut it out in the shape of a banner to go over my baseball photo.
The "right meow" card was so adorable and at first I was stumped on how I would use it, but then I remembered that Sawyer is loving animal sounds right now, so it was perfect for journaling about that! I used a few of the Project Life printables on my spread too.
This spread uses mostly the Gertrude and Tabasco add-on kits. I loved the greens and blues and pop of yellow in the Gertrude add-on, so I tried to stick closely to that color scheme here.
I've got a tutorial coming up on the SC blog on how I made the cute little star sequin confetti pocket. I've never done a pocket before (crazy, right?!), because I dont' know how to use my sewing machine very well. So, I figured out a super simple way to make a pocket with no sewing at all!
Aaaaand, if you're still with me ;) it's LAST CALL time at Studio Calico too! This month, there are huge savings on SC's Wanderlust and Lemon Lush collections. If I were shopping, I'd definitely pick up some of the bright Wanderlust papers (great for scrapping Spring Break fun like I did here ;) and the mistable Thickers which are so versatile!
My Lemon Lush picks would be the gorgeous paper (I just LOVE all of the patterns!), the pretty pretty buttons and the fun Wood Veneer Shapes!
Happy Sunday, friends!! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend with your families. Today, I'm going to attempt to work on my December Daily (yes, in March/almost April!) ;)
