Nominations are now being accepted for the committee that will develop the 2018 version of the National Green Building Standard. While the ICC/ASHRAE 700-2015 National Green Building Standard is just beginning to be used to certify new single- and multifamily homes, remodeling projects and land developments, the standards development process — like the practice of sustainable, high-performance building itself — doesn’t sit still.
NAHB and its partners in the standard, ASHRAE and the International Code Council, have committed to revisiting the content every three years. Doing so enables them to learn from certification case studies and advances in green building practices to create an even more cutting-edge document.
