Why did you start travelling?
We’ve spent two years in a long-distance relationship, when Nastia studied in Sweden and Illia worked in Ukraine. After these horrible years we were so fed up with being apart that we decided to spend 24/7 together. And the best way to do that was to start life-time trip. Of course, it wasn’t easy and we didn’t believe we were able to do that until one spring morning Illia bought tickets to Singapore, from which our travels started.
What is the most important during your travels?
The most important is to get along and to never ever quarrel. You know, since we are a traveling couple we must think and act as a team, and it is difficult sometimes, to be honest. We have already developed multiple rules, which we constantly fail to follow, wrote a couple of manuals and so on. But whatever people say about their couple travels, the most important thing is to love each other.
What is the most important experience that you had during your travels?
When you are a full-time traveler, especially in the countries of the third world, you experience many conflicts with the locals. We can recall many cases, when we were involved into pretty aggressive arguments and we must admit, there is nothing good in such experiences. It is important to talk about it, since many members of the traveling community tend to avoid discussing unpleasant experiences. Our position is to keep calm and travel, no matter what. It’s safer and better for your health.
What is the most beautiful place that you have been to?
Andaman and Nicobar Islands. We often receive letters from our followers, in which they ask us whether it’s safe to travel there, providing links to numerous articles about sand flies, crocodiles, snakes, dogs, etc. We are deeply convinced that Andaman Islands are very safe and extremely beautiful. The white shining sand, crystal clear blue water, palms and birds everywhere can impress even those who have seen everything. Of course, it is a remote destination, but we highly recommend going there to everyone, who wants to become a part of this bounty paradise.
What is your biggest travel dream?
We want to go on an Arctic tour. Unfortunately, it is too expensive for us now (we cannot even afford to buy appropriate clothes), but we believe that one day we will reach this destination. The South Pole is interesting as well. That’s the place where not many travelers can go and one can feel the true remoteness and serenity every nomad is looking for.
