Understanding and then respecting the dimensions and details of the original, is necessary to create a quality reproduction. There are certain modern classic pieces that may look simple but are complex in design. Such is this piece originally created by Florence Knoll. If the square tuft depth, button size, leg dimensions, cushion thickness, arm thickness and seating angle not fully understood and followed closely, the sectional takes on a much different appearance than the original. We understand the intricacies in depth. From the traditional hardwood box frame construction to the Premium Houndstooth Twill, you will not find a higher quality reproduction of the Florence.

About the modular sectional configuration
As the name implies, a sectional combines two or more modular sections of a given series that join typically at a 90 degree angle. This Florence Knoll reproduction, in a dual modular unit sectional, provides for a wider range of lounging options as well as increased seating capacity. The sectional format provides a right hand facing or left hand facing modular chaise. You will note by the images that the cushion size on both the back and seat of the sofa are one full width size. One for the original sofa configuration and one full width for the right or left hand facing chaise configuration, representative in both the back and seat cushions. This provides for a well tailored appearance of the 2 piece florence knoll configuration versus the rather choppy appearance of a 3 seat standard with a single cushion chaise addition.
About the Tweed Fabric Style:
Tweed is a flat surfaced wool, originally homespun and slightly felted. This fabric is sturdy and features a smooth overall appearance with a mottled color.
About the Houndstooth Twill Fabric:
An interwoven knit fabric usually seen in a multi-tone cotton blend thread. Houndstooth features an uneven, random and whimsical cross hatch design where the thread takes turns in an over and under weave forming a crooked yet overall lineal rectangle pattern. The pattern exists but appears random and texturized. The cotton blend provides for a comfortable yet durable upholstery with the breathing advantages of natural fiber.

Florence Knoll is an American architect and furniture designer. Florence Knoll’s design flair began at the age of 14 when she designed her first home. Fabric and Leather Samples
Samples ship via USPS Priority Mail. Samples typically arrive within 4-5 days for U.S customer and 7-8 days for Canadian Customers and 10-12 days for international customers. Customs delays on sample orders international and to Canada are not common but can occur and are beyond Kardiels control.
Damage Free Guaranteed
We take the risk and make it easy in the unlikely event of freight damage. If you do your part by inspecting on delivery day, we will handle your claim for you. Prior to the delivery company leaving, you must inspect the contents of the boxes and sign for any freight damage. We will issue you a return ticket and refund or replace the damaged item as inventory availability permits. Important reminder, If you do not inspect the contents of the cartons and sign for freight damage, we are not able to file a claim for you nor honor a replacement or refund.
