Merciful father, I have squandered my days with plans of many things. This was not one of them… For all we ought to have said, we have not said and all we ought to have done, we have not done and for this we ask for forgiveness.
A lot of people knew your magical voice, a lot of people knew how much fun you were to be around, how generous you were, how good you look in anything you wore and yet how humble you can be…
I simply knew You! I knew your struggles, I knew your pain, I knew the realness of you being a leader in an unforgiving and assuming world. Yet you carried all the pressure so gracefully. You are my realest friend, No errs. I was never ashamed to tell you my reality and you always had words for me no matter how stubborn I was.
I will never forget some of your words to me… “people only use you cos you are useful so allow them” and when defending me… “Dem go know say you too get pipo!” Or when cooking… ” This your fish wey you no dey chop dey disturb my cooking o!” Lol!
They say you die twice, when your body hits the ground and 2nd when the last person who knows your name dies. Well it is obvious you are never going to die… Cos your Name will Never Ever be forgotten. I love you so much my brother! I can’t bring myself to write those three letters near your name so I’ll just say… Thank you, thank you Eric Odafe Arubayi for being a friend and a brother, You’ll forever live on in my heart! #makanaki#saintmakay #legend
