Who ever said there weren’t enough music festivals to go around each summer? Here’s a list of some of the most popular—up-and-coming and established—music festivals from around the world to check out this summer!

Sziget Festival – August 10-17

If you’re going to be in Budapest, Hungary this summer, head on over to the Sziget Festival for a 7-day event that usually pulls in about 400,000 people from over 70 different countries. The festival includes theater, circus performances, and various forms of art. You’ll also get the chance to see performances from artists like Ellie Goulding, Interpol, Avicii, and Kings of Leon.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival – October 2 – 4

San Francisco’s Golden State Park will host the festival in October and feature over 80 artists on its bill. Last year, an estimated 700,000 people attended the festival over its three-day span, so you’ll most likely be in for another massively packed event this year. It will be worth it so see artists such as Ryan Adams, The Aquabats, Yo La Tengo, Conor Oberst and Sharon Van Etten.

Soundwave Croatia – August 6 -10

In the village of Tisno, Croatia, Soundwave Festival will be held, featuring an array of diverse artists such as Jay Electronica, DJ LTJ Bukem and Channel One Sound System. The festival also boasts several boat parties which are held next to the Tisno International Donkey Racing Championships. If you’re looking to dance on boats, listen to loud music, and party with donkeys who could give you a run for your money, you’ll love Croatia’s Soundwave festival.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival – August 7 – 31

Since 1947, Edinburgh, Scotland has held its Fringe Festival, featuring musicians, dancers, actors, and comedians. Each year, those on the fringe come out to the historical town to be a part of the world’s largest arts festival.

Into The Valley – July 31 – August 1

Come to Rättvik, Sweden to be a part of Into The Valley, a two-day festival that’s held in a former limestone quarry located in the midst of the forest. You can check out dozens of electronic artists such as Four Tet, John Talabot and Benoit & Sergio.

Barrakud Greece – July 29 – August 2

Corfu, Greece hosts its EDM (electronic dance music) festival, Barrakud Greece, in a multitude of beautiful locations. You can choose to party in a man-made cave that overlooks a bay, a panoramic pool terrace, two separate white-sand beaches, or a club with a roof that opens. Do yourself a favor and help Greece restart their economy by heading over to one of the world’s most extravagant festivals.

MoMA PS1 Warm Up – Saturdays, June 27 – September 5

For 18 years, New York has hosted its outdoor music series, MoMA PS1 Warm Up. Both up-and-coming and established experimental music artists from all around the world perform on stages located in Long Island City, in the borough of Queens New York. Artists such as Cut Copy DJs, Boys Noize and DJ Tiga are set to perform this summer

David Byrne’s Meltdown – August 17 – 30

Calling all Talking Heads Fans! If you haven’t heard yet, David Byrne’s version of Meltdown Festival will be held at the Southbank Centre in London, England this summer. Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has curated the lineup, choosing artists who have inspired him, featuring English singer-songwriter Anna Calvi, who will peform with a 12-person choir, Spanish flamenco singer Estrella Morente, and Byrne himself, performing a theater piece with actor/director Young Jean Lee called “We’re Going to Die.”

Secret Garden Party – July 23 – 26

If you’re near Abbots Ripton, Cambridgeshire, England, you’ll definitely want to check out the Secret Garden Party. The festival takes place on a 100-acre garden next to a beautiful lake that will have art installations around it. Each year the themes change, with “Childish Things” being the theme for 2015. Attendees or “gardeners” can participate in activities that include paint fights, dance-offs, disco picnics, parades, and much more. You’ll also be able to see acts like Jungle, Angus & Julia Stone and The Cat Empire.

Fashion Meets Music Festival - September 5 – 6

If you’re into fashion and music, you’ll love the Fashion Meets Music Festival, hosted in Columbus, Ohio. In its second year, the two-day event boasts four stages, two house fashion shows, 25 designers, and 45 musical acts including Ludacris, St. Vincent, Taking Back Sunday and Andy Grammar.

Electric Fields Festival – August 29th

This summer Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland will present the Electric Fields Festival. Come party at Drumlanrig Castle, a 17th-century pink limestone structure, nicknamed the “pink palace”. You can see artists such as singer-songwriter King Creosote, The Phantom Band and British electro solo project Blanck Mass. It’s going to be quite an event so don’t miss out if you’re in the area.

Fuji Rock Festival – July 24 – 26

If you’re going to be near Yuzawa-cho, Niigata Pref., Japan this summer, head on over to the Fuji Rock Festival with over 100,000 other attendees. You’ll see massive headliners such as, Foo Fighters, DeadMau5, Muse, and Motörhead. You’ll be able to see the beauty of the mountainous terrain along with some of most popular acts in music.

Satchmo Summerfest -July 30 – August 2

Come to New Orleans to be part of the 15th annual Satchmo SummerFest, an event that originally began in 2001 to celebrate what would have been Louis Armstrong’s 100th birthday. You’ll be able to watch jazz bands, brass bands, and the traditional second-line parade. The event is held on the grounds of Louisiana State Mueseum’s Old U.S. Mint, which also features a new exhibit on Louis Armstrong.

Riis Park Beach Bazaar – Throughout the summer

If you’re going to be in the Queens, New York area this summer, check out Riis Park Beach Bazaar, a festival featuring artists like Caveman and Mykki Blanco. Along with the performances, you’ll be able to get some of New York’s finest food from vendors including, Fletcher’s Brooklyn BBQ and Ample Hills Creamery, and Brooklyn Floss—a cotton candy stand with 30 all-natural flavors.
