I have another 12 great InstagramTIPS for you. From shoppable pics to creative photofeeds and from getting featured to scheduling your posts. I also found some wonderful food artists and India-photographers I love to share with you.
I would like to start with sharing a video a company called VersCommuniceert made of me, they interviewed me about Instagram.
The video is in Dutch, but let me translate my tips from the video:
Instagram is a simple mobile app, in which you can take the picture, edit the picture and upload it to the community. Instagram is famous for it’s filters, but since they added the superb manualy adjustments filters are almost outdated.
Three tips to become good at Instagram:
1. Excellent photos, a strong visual story, a well-balanced photo-feed
2. Relevant supporting text with the images, a good and appropriate description
3. Using hashtags wisely, you can do research on sites like websta.me

My daily #instagramTIP The Instagram filters explained! My fav filters are #Sierra, #Rise and #Amaro. Sierra: makes photos soft and sophisticated with a lovely glow. Rise is like a sunrise: ads a yellowish glow and soft tones. Amaro is also soft-toned and can lighen up darker pics. Whats your favorite? #instagramTIPjustK

My daily #instagramTIP are companies embracing the selfieculture like @frank_bod and @baublebar The selfiestick has been chosen by @time as one of 2014 best inventions and that’s interesting. Selfies get the most likes, but there are a lot of critics who find them distasteful and egocentric. So are they? My daily #instagramTIP is about scheduling posts on Instagram. You can do this with a great webbased tool called @schedugram which has many options, but costs are from 13$ a month. Similar to Schedugram is #Instapult which costs the same. @Latergramme is an app and the free option is great but limited to one account AND you still have to post the actual photo, so the only advantage is that you already have the pic and the text ready. I use Latergramme for some clients. Similar to Latergramme is #Takeoff (for android also!). #InstagramTIPjustK #Repost @schedugram

My daily #InstagramTIP is about getting featured or recommended by Instagram. You see this feature when you start to follow new people. Unfortunately, you have no control over this, if Instagram chooses your account to recommend to others, you are one of the lucky ones and receive an email with the following message: “Our list with recommended users is a dynamic list with the best photographers on Instagram. Featured accounts rotate every few weeks so more people get the opportunity to show themselves” I saw an account grow from 5k to 26k in less than 2 weeks because of being featured! #InstagramTIPjustK Een foto die is geplaatst door Kirsten Jassies (@kirst_enj) op

My daily #instagramTIP is that Instagram announced three big changes on their blog: 1. A People TAB on the explore (verkennen) page, to find more like-minded. 2. Verified badges for celebrities, athletes and brands. 3. Instagram is deleting spam accounts, so your number of followers could change the coming days. My daily #instgramTIP is that @instagram has reached 300 million users! In comparison: Pinterest has 40 million. So that is why it is time to think about the possible influence you could have if you have a smashing visual story to tell and act social!
