I have just returned from a mini break with the girls and this little brush set from Neve Cosmetics proved incredibly handy when packing light.
Neve Cosmetics hails from Italy and is a relatively young independent company, founded in 2009. Its products are entirely cruelty-free with their mineral make-up vegetarian and vegan friendly. They are also 100% made in Italy and by the looks of their vast range, colour plays a big part. The more observant ones among you will have spotted Neve Cosmetics hovering around on Cocktail Cosmetics but its their official site which stocks everything including this superb brush set.
In the past I’ve found mini brush sets to be more of a miss than a hit – either the bristles aren’t great or the handles aren’t comfortable to grip. The Aqua Brush Set* comprises of 7 professional brushes – enough for a complete make-up look – and it comes in a practical and small travel case with a zip-up bag.
The bristles of these brushes are made from cruelty-free synthetic fibre that do not shed. The brushes have shiny black, varnished wooden handles that are easy to hold, shiny sea-green metal grips, and monochrome or dual-colour bristles, depending on their use.

I found the brushes picked up product really well, in fact I only had to lightly sweep the blush brush across my blusher. The bristles are soft on the blush and Kabuki and in plentiful supply, and the eyeshadow brushes are firm yet gentle on the skin. I also really like the size and quality of the handles – you can hold them properly which makes using them so much more enjoyable.
In other words, this set has all the qualities of a full size without compromising on ease of use and quality and the price is even more attractive, coming in at €24,90 which equates to less than £18.
Neve Cosmetics ships all over Europe and with so much to choose from at affordable prices, you do feel spoilt.
