Junk Food Nation, there’s nothing more sobering than when you’re literally the ONLY person at work, and the energy saving lights in the hallway turn off because there’s been no movement for almost ten minutes.  Jeebus.

Anyways, I wanted to bring up this story: CHIPOTLE IS GETTING INTO PIZZA!  Woot woot.  I love Chipotle, and when the company got into the Southeast Asian cuisine biz with it’s DC-based Shophouse fast casual joints, I was all for it. Well, now Chipotle is getting into pizzas baked under two minutes in Denver.  According to the article: “Like Chipotle, Pizzeria Locale lets customers customize their meals. With a bake time of less than two minutes, the pies are ready more quickly than it takes to bake a standard frozen pizza.”  SWEET.

DC has its own version of this, a delightful chain of pizza places called &pizza, and those places are killer.  I’m stoked to see Chipotle’s spin….what’s next, though?  I want Chipotle to get into the EGG ROLL biz…make me customized egg rolls in under two minutes, dangit!

What other foods would you like to see churned out in the Chipotle model?  Calzones?  Super paninis?  How about Chili?  Let me know in the comments below.

Randomly, we’ll finish with just a funny video I saw the other day….PHONE CRASHING.  Sort of genius:

LOL.  Today’s junk food: CVS Gold Emblem Soft Baked Brownie Cookies w/ White Chocolate Chunks!

MAGIC BOX OF GOODIES

CVS, true to the holiday spirit, sent me a bunch of goodies the other day in a nice holiday box.  I feel like I need to use this box for something special, like holding old Christmas/Holiday cards, or for storing tiny bags of Doritos.

UNVEILED!

The box contained a whole slew of things!  Many of what came inside, I’d already reviewed…

TADA!!!

I must say, this goodie box from CVS was a particularly good one.  Let’s take a closer look:

CVS Gold Emblem Maple Leaf Creme Cookies, Vanilla Bean Coffee Cookies

The CVS Gold Emblem Maple Leaf Creme Cookies and Vanilla Bean Coffee Cookies are old favorites; I’d reviewed them on this blog previously.  Seriously, those maple cookies are my crack.  I’m hiding these from everyone.  MINE MINE MINE.

CVS Gold Emblem Donut Shop Blend Coffee and a random plate

CVS also sent some Donut Shop coffee and a random plastic plate.  I feel like this is the type of plastic holiday plate that no one buys but somehow everyone has.  I bet you have one too.  EVERYONE has one.  And this plate has a cardinal with a Santa hat.  Nice.

CVS Gold Emblem Soft Baked Brownie Cookies w/ White Chocolate Chunks: The Money Shot

CVS Gold Emblem Soft Baked Brownie Cookies w/ White Chocolate Chunks were the one snack I hadn’t had yet. But they look really good – soft baked cookies with big chocolate chunks.  Let’s munch!

CVS Gold Emblem Soft Baked Brownie Cookies w/ White Chocolate Chunks: BIG WHITE CHOCOLATE CHUNKS

Well, these CVS Gold Emblem Soft Baked Brownie Cookies w/ White Chocolate Chunks were just scrumptious.  How could they not be?

The first taste I got was semi-sweet cocoa….the cookie itself was not SUPER sweet, but it was soft like a brownie or like any other soft baked cookie that you’ve ever had.  Likely due to the all the oils, but the cookie part itself was a tad dry. Did it taste like a brownie?  Sort of…

The white chocolate chunks is really what made these.  They were VERY sweet – they were milky, buttery, sweet.  Mixed with the chocolate cookie, these were quite tasty.  Kind of like a super creamy chocolate cookie.  The white chocolate chunks were easy to chew also – made the semi-dry cookie “feel” more moist.

I give these a thumbs up.  And thanks again, CVS!

PURCHASED AT: Sent to me, but I’m sure you can get them at CVS

COST: $4.19 was the price tag on my box
