With the traffic congestion in my area getting worse, there are days when I just want to call and order food to be delivered to me rather than brave the traffic. I do order the occasional pizzas but I’d love more variety. This is where foodpanda/hellofood comes to the rescue. foodpanda, together with its affiliated brand hellofood and Delivery Club, is the leading global online food delivery marketplace, active in more than 40 countries. The company enables restaurants to become visible in the online and mobile world and provides them with a constantly evolving online technology. For consumers, foodpanda/hellofood offer the convenience to order food online and the widest gastronomic range from where they can choose their favourite meal on the web or via their newly launched app.

foodpanda/hellofood has become a truly mobile company with its revolutionary upgraded app in a brand-new overall design. The most global online food delivery marketplace released the new generation of its mobile app, offering easy access to the menus of more than 30,000 restaurants in more than 40 countries across four continents. The new app is available on all major mobile platforms: iOS, Android, Windows, Nokia X and Asha.

The mobile application allows customers to see recommended local restaurants and to select from thousands of dishes for delivery and take-away. Menus come with food pictures and restaurants carry customer reviews and ratings. In addition to that, foodpanda/hellofood offers exclusive deals and special offers from a large variety of restaurants. Returning users can access their order history for fast and convenient re-order. Furthermore the app allows users to customize their meals just like in the restaurant by choosing, replacing or adding their toppings of choice. The fully custom-built next generation app demonstrates consistency and convenience across every step of the food ordering process. It is clear, sharp and without a doubt, more beautiful. The design has been developed and adjusted in order to improve, sharpen and perfect the overall experience.

During the launch yesterday, members of the media had a hands-on experience with the app and we were all given an envelope containing the name of a participating restaurant such as TGIF, The Apartment, Bulgogi Brothers, Teh Tarik Place and the name of the dish we’d be ordering. Our orders were processed in a few brief minutes and we waited about an hour for theorders to be confirmed, cooked and delivered to our meeting room.

All the food came in nice plastic containers with sauces individually packed or wrapped in foil. I had the chicken quesadillas for dinner, the bread for supper and the chicken skewers for breakfast this morning! Now how’s that for satisfying meals? The dips and sauces are amazing, I ate them on their own after I’d done with the bread and chicken, the dips/sauces are good to the last drop.
