BTS’ member V is becoming an actor.
On the 23d, according to a broadcast station, V is in discussion to join the upcoming KBS 2TV drama “Hwarang.” If it is confirmed, it will be V’s official debut as an actor.
“Hwarang: The Beginning” is an authentic historical dramma telling of the passion, love, and remarkable growth of the flower-like youth living in Seorabeol, the capital city of the Silla dynasty 1500 years ago.
With trend-setting young actors like Park Seojoon, Park Hyungsik, Go Ara, and SHINee’s Minho confirmed, it is 2016’s greatly anticipated production. V’s addition to the ‘trend idol’ lineup is expected to add to the richness of the casting.
To demonstrate the interest, “Hwarang: The Beginning” has already been pre-sold at the highest cost to influential media group LETV, known as the Chinese Netflix. It will be broadcast on KBS 2TV in the second half of 2016.
Additionally, V has recently met with viewers through his participation in MBig TV’s first program “Flower Boy Bromance” with junior actor Kim Minjae.
