About the Team
Our team is a collection of top-notch engineers (Execs include ex-Google and Amazon leadership) who are riding the cutting-edge of cloud computing and web scalability. We organize and sort terabytes of data and develop solutions that are used by millions of users, making complicated data collection and analysis easy. We’ve created a very collaborative and fast-paced environment where new ideas are prototyped before we go full blast with them. Anyone from Junior to Senior level engineers are enabled to come up with ideas and more so encouraged to do so as we're looking to you to help us collaborate to make our product and systems better.
The Opportunity
We need serious engineers who are ready to make a difference right away. We use Scrum and it allows our engineers to add features and improvements to our products that will reach customers within weeks. We offer the flexibility to move into three areas of development depending on your background, experience, and preferences; you could work in one or more of the following areas:
Product Development: You will make data collection and analysis easy enough for an intern, yet sophisticated enough for a Ph.D. As a new engineer, you will be launched into extending, improving, and creating features and products to accomplish that very task. You will have the opportunity to research, prototype, and develop compelling solutions that are innovative, elegant, and engaging.
User-Interface Development and Design: User experience and usability is a top priority — you might even call us a little bit obsessive. You will help make sophisticated research simple by meticulously designing and implementing interfaces, using Ajax and similar technologies, to deliver an absolutely awesome user experience.
Back-end Software and Database Development: We are getting ready to push our service-oriented architecture to the next level. Do you think you are up to the task? Use latest cutting-edge technology such as Hadoop, Hbase, Thrift, and other pioneering technologies to create high-performance, large-scale data stores for the largest companies in the world.

Qualifications
Strong programming experience in any language as long as you're open to Java, Javascript and PHP
Minimum of 4+ years of programming experience to 15 years
Experience in web-related technologies including HTML/CSS and PHP
Experience in SQL or Relational Databases
Worked with distributed systems and/or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments
Proposed ideas to a team and have been a proponent in pushing out new technologies to consolidate systems or update monolithic code
Proactive team player rather than someone who has sat back and gone along with what is told
Works well with a team, can voice opinions diplomatically and handle change/challenges
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
Experience in MySQL, NoSQL (Non-relational Database), memcached and/or MongoDB
Resolved data issues and worked within a highly-scalable environment
Dabbled and researched in recent technologies such as Scala and Node.js
Ideally worked within an Agile/Scrum environment
