Rumors that Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas were together are nothing more than that...gossip.
Miley took to Twitter to set the record straight and shoot down the buzz about a Niley reunion.
It all started with a fan's tweet, who noted she had spied Miley and Nick eating together at Paty's restaurant in L.A.
Of course, that started a tidal wave of rumors, as it spread on Twitter and reinforced the buzz about a Miley and Liam Hemsworth breakup.
Thankfully, Miley has shot this one down--in fact, she and Nick haven't seen each other in quite some time.
Miley tweeted: "I literally haven't seen Nick Jonas in years. Don't believe everything you read folks."
Earlier, details of her lunch date with Nick made their way online, with a source telling HollywoodLife.com, "[There was] absolutely no romantic vibe at all, at any time while they ate and while they were there. It seemed more like a meeting than a friendly chit chat or get together--it was a more serious tone, based on their demeanor. They seemed to be having a business meeting--they were on their phones and then they left without incident."
The source added that they "left separately" and that "Liam was fully aware that she was out with him, there is nothing to worry about at all."
Sounds like two people who looked an awful lot like Miley and Nick were eating lunch together...or maybe it was just a whole lot of buzz about nothing.
Miley slammed the tabloids, tweeting, "Why are magazines allowed to publish straight bull shit. Look at my profile pic. Look at my finger. Idiots. I couldn't have "ran" into anyone because I haven't went to eat out in public in weeks because of the amount of paparazzi outside my house. #shorthairrepunzel"
