The Auto Finance MIS Information Reporting Analyst provides strategic and tactical support by identifying, coding, analyzing, and interpreting complex and often diverse data in order to provide actionable information and creative solutions to achieve the goals and objectives of the Chase Auto Finance Customer Experience, Loan Servicing, Customer Service, National Collections and Vehicle Remarketing lines of business.
More specifically, the reporting analyst will develop methodologies and use Oracle SQL coding to create reporting, identify and communicate trends regarding operational performance, strategy performance, and portfolio/collections performance. In order to conduct effective analyses, candidates must possess strong Oracle SQL report coding skills and advanced problem solving skills. Prior experience working in or supporting a Loan Servicing operations and the willingness to learn is important. The ability to effectively communicate findings verbally and in written or presentation format is also necessary. In addition, the analyst must have the ability to data mine using data warehouse tables, research and resolve issues independently. The candidate must possess a team player mentality in order to work effectively in supporting all levels of Management and interfacing with several divisions (e.g. Regulatory, Risk, Controls, Accounting, Finance, Strategy, Quality Assurance, Information Technology, etc.) and project stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Work with business to define reporting requirements and to analyze reporting needs that will help drive performance or meet various operational goals.
* Coding reports using Oracle SQL to create reporting and presentations for senior level and other levels of management. Need to provide clear, concise and easy to understand data and graphics that easily depict the data information to be relayed.
* Interpret data results and convey in concise, straight-forward, and professional manner for all levels of operational staff from supervisors to senior level management
* Assure the integrity of data, through extraction, manipulation, processing, validation, analysis and reporting.
* Develop, test, implement and maintain reporting (regular production or adhoc) that enable data driven business decisions
* Analyze and report data utilizing standard statistical methods/tools
* Partner with Data Infrastructure team and business owners to implement new data sources and ensure consistent definitions are used in reporting and analytics
* Represent BI MIS team on projects and business initiatives designed to improve operations

Qualifications
Requirements:
Experienced creating Information Reporting for Auto Finance Customer Experience and Loan Servicing operational environment and working with Loan Servicing data systems ALA, VLS, CALS, iCAF, Quest, WebStats
* 4+ years of job experience querying relational databases using Oracle SQL, Oracle ApEx, Toad, Ms Access.
* 4+ years of experience with Oracle development/reporting tools.
* Detail oriented individual coupled with the ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
* Demonstrated problem solving skills and working knowledge of statistical methodologies and techniques.
* Experience with reporting development and Business Intelligence tools, data visualization techniques.
* Experience with data mining from large databases using Oracle SQL tools and business intelligence platforms.
* Proficiency within the Microsoft Office suite – Ms Access, PowerPoint, Excel functions including pivot tables, charts, macros, odbc connections and Visual Basic.
* Ability to operate in a collaborative and cooperative environment and must possess the strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization.
* Must possess the ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues.
* Able to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business questions and needs.
* Solid oral and written communication skills.
* Willingness to commit to working extended hours as deadlines require.
* Must be customer centric and demonstrate exceptional customer service
* Must possess the ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues
