Job Description
The role will manage the group of products reflected in the Default Product Portfolios. The individual will develop and manage strategic initiatives and transformational programs to enhance the group performance and customer experience. Responsible for driving key business strategies related to product and policy implementation, assess the impacts on portfolio of making product/policy/process changes and reviewing existing portfolio options that may require enhancements or retirement given market environment (regulatory, economic, state/local, etc). This position will serve as single point of contact for ensuring loss mitigation operations and customer facing teams are aware of available options and changes are implemented in accordance with any federal, state, local or agency requirement that impact the servicing portfolio managed in accordance with internal Change Management and control processes. Works with partners in proactively promoting portfolio campaigns, making business cases and promoting the results. In addition, this leader will set direction strategic initiatives and loss mitigation campaigns designed to shrink overall delinquencies and credit losses.
Their responsibility will be to develop and drive portfolio management across the control & technology organization to effectively define strategy for cataloging, coding and mapping of matrix and management in system of record. This will include the long-term design and development of portfolio analytics. The role is seeking an individual with risk and controls experience to ensure their ability to interpret and influence portfolio development from a business perspective and well as to identify and assist in address of issues and risks. In addition to oversight of the product group, they will also be assigned to select programs for targeted leadership.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Strategy – management of strategic initiatives and transformational programs related to products. Lead strategy development
* Control – ensure controls are in place to accurately reflect product requirements, new product implementation and product changes
* Strong interpersonal, team management, project management, multi-tasking & leadership skills
* Interacts with internal departments across Mortgage Banking division to develop, implement and coordinate firm wide initiatives
* Ability to communicate effectively with leadership at external agencies and with senior executives
* Builds business case for strategies/channels
* Strong analytical skills ability to manage to P&L; objectives

Qualifications
* 7+ years of strong loss mitigation mortgage underwriting and/or product/process management experience with FNMA, FHLMC, USDA, VA, FHA, GMNA, Private and Asset Investors
* Proven leader, ability to drive performance as it relates to financial and economic returns to the business (Prior P&L; management desirable)
* Ability to translate complex content into understandable business drivers , value statements and action campaigns
* Professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with peers and senior management
* Strong analytical, communication and negotiations kills
* Ability to anticipate control gaps and aggressively drive initiatives to timely closure
* Experience with coordinating the management and resolution of issues
* Experience and understanding of complex financial analysis, economic models, and key portfolio drivers that impact mortgage loan performance
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred
