A Senior Service Management Leader, the** Infrastructure Architect** reports to the Infrastructure Chief Technology Office (iCTO) lead for Controls Technology and is accountable for ensuring Infrastructure designs, both existing and new meet the Application/Business goals for availability, performance and recoverability while managing the associated costs within agreed targets.

The role requires a proven leader with the ability to provide operational, tactical and strategic direction for efficient and appropriate Infrastructure consumption across CTR (Controls Technology & Risk). The objective of the role is to ensure the infrastructure associated with new projects is appropriate for the agreed business needs and follows corporate standard solutions where sensible. Also to assess existing Application infrastructure for efficiency opportunities and Service risk and drive remediation as appropriate. Key Success measurements include: Service Availability, Capacity Utilization, % of Standard vs. Bespoke solutions deployed and Cost Management. Requires tight interaction with development teams and PM''s to ensure partnership approach to understand, communicate and influence appropriately at an early stage in the application development lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Engagement in and ownership of Infrastructure designs for CTR projects
* Implementation of appropriate standard process/procedures to ensure good lifecycle management of Infrastructure throughout its lifecycle
* Review of existing Infrastructure to identify Risks and Opportunities to address service gaps / drive down cost
* Drive development and improvement of Application KPI''s associated with Infrastructure
* Work with LoB''s and iCTO team to ensure appropriate technical solutions are provisioned to meet business needs whilst managing costs effectively and following Firm/GTI/CTR standards where appropriate
* Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory controls, IT controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all managed services in relation to Capacity management
* Manage Key Relationships
* Internal across CTR towers, Application Owners & Architects, PM''s and ITRSM Management
* GTI Engineering, Client Aligned Architecture teams, Capacity teams and Support Management
* Broader iCTO functions - Standards and Scale leverage

Qualifications

This role requires 10 years of technology related experience inclusive of the following skills/experience;
1) Minimum of three years in an Infrastructure engineering or architecture role, knowledgeable in Windows, UNIX, SAN and database technologies, including Oracle and SQL.
2) A working knowledge of backups and disaster recovery systems.
3) A minimum of three years experience with project delivery life cycles including requirements gathering, design documentation, and build-to documentation.
4) Minimum 5 years of working with large scale distributed production environments
