The overall North American Payroll organization has four main work streams; Payroll Operations, Timekeeping, Case Management and US Payroll Tax & Accounting; with a regional model of U.S. employees primarily based in Delaware and a large presence in our Bangalore, India shared services center.

The Payroll Accounting Compliance Support function is required to provide/perform accounting compliance support to the North America, including Canada, and Latin America Regions. This requires adherence to Corporate Accounting GLRS Policy, Monthly Financial Review, SOX Testing, establishing strong control environments and risk mitigation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Adhere to and perform all GLRS (Certification and Substantiation) of all General Ledger Accounts for US, Canada, and Latin America

* Create Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that all SOP’s are current for all accounting procedures

* Conduct Account review meetings with key stakeholders for US and Canada

* Present to Senior Management explanation for all aged GL items for US and Canada

* Prepare Monthly Financial GL Account Review including all GL Account Reconciliations with Aging Reports and Review for compliance

* Prepare Monthly Financial and Tax Presentation to Senior Management and Controllers Group

* Partner with Risk Control Team and Bangalore Accounting team on periodic (monthly, quarterly) Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Testing Reviews

* Partner with PWC during SOX Audits

* Requires strong partnership and communication with our Bangalore, Latin America, and Canada Payroll teams

* Ability to understand and comply with multiple country Payroll Accounting Processes

* Create scorecards, including statistics/metrics and project activities for Accounting and Tax Teams

* Flexible and adaptable to ongoing changes, to ensure success for the greater good of the entire HRSD global family
* Special Projects (or other duties as assigned)

Qualifications

* 1-2 years Accounting experience
* Knowledge and understanding of payroll processing and related activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance.
* Strong Accounting background, with demonstrated experience in SAP General Ledger Proof and Reconciliation
* 1-2 years of US payroll experience in a high volume environment.
* PeopleSoft HR/Payroll or other similar payroll system is preferred
* Latin America Payroll Accounting Experience preferred
* Experienced in Payroll Accounting aspects of a diverse range of multiple country and entity organizations
* Strong analytical/problem solving skills
* Familiarity with SOX Testing and Reviews
* Ability to quickly absorb product knowledge, process information and apply appropriately to meet client’s needs
* Requires extreme attention to details and the ability to follow through and resolve outstanding issues.
* Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing initiatives
* Proven project management skills and systems experience to effectively bring about change by incorporating system enhancements and development of new processes.
* Ability to coordinate multiple projects. Project Management Skills preferred.
* Requires extreme attention to details and the ability to follow through and resolve outstanding issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
* Advanced PC skills, including MS Windows & Office Suite
* Must be able to create Pivot Tables, perform V_Lookups, and create Charts
* Demonstrate initiative, be a self starter, fast learner, and team player
* Demonstrated leadership and client management skills
* Flexible and adaptable to ongoing changes, to ensure success for the greater good of the entire HRSD global family
* Candidate must be flexible with extended working hours that may be required during critical deadlines
