Global Information Management manages the firm’s record retention and records management program. We are currently seeking a Business and Data Analyst to analyze program data to prepare metrics, document trends, and identify issues. The candidate will be a key player on the Reporting team in mining application data for management reports.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Reports to and supports the Global Information Manager - APAC
* Primary contact in Hong Kong for LOB implementation, ensuring compliance with programme initiatives.
* Key member in actively formulating and driving GIM global communication strategy across the region.
* Play an active role in the Global Record Retention program development in supporting of multi-jurisdictional information management across different media and data structure
* Support requests from Legal (both internal and external counsel) and the Hong Kong based LOB for access to designated JPMC business records.
* Identify and communicate business risk exposures related to records management in the Hong Kong office. Direct the mitigation of those risks.
* Ensure the appropriate use of the JPMC Accutrac hardcopy records global system of record, which controls and documents the flow of records to/from the off-site storage locations. Assist in training and education sessions.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with Records and Information Coordinators in the lines of business. Provide required training of users on Global Information Management policies, guidelines, processes, controls and systems.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with Records and Information Coordinators in peer organisations in Hong Kong. Attend focus groups and forums to review records management trends, regulatory changes and possible implications to JPMC.
* Support the Controlled Records Destruction Program for Hong Kong based LOBS. Ensure the Physical Records Destruction Protocol is strictly followed and all required documentation/certification is obtained.
* Undertake initiatives and training of internal clients in order to reduce the archiving of duplicate paper records as appropriate.
* Monitor the daily performance and procedures of the contracted off-site storage suppliers in order to identify (and mitigate) potential risks to JPMC records.
* Develop understanding of internal clients’ businesses and identify trends that may impact their businesses. Review current operational processes with internal client base regularly through client focus groups and liaison with Senior Front Office management. Evaluate perceived performance and relevancy of services.
* Inspire professional trust as perceived by professional and personal ability, encouraging staff and internal clients to seek professional advice.
* Initiate and maintain professional relationships with other managers at competitors and related professional organizations. Prepare presentations and reports as required.

Qualifications
* Strong, proven leadership ability required.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
* Ability to work remotely with limited supervision.
* Confident, persuasive presentation skills (oral and written).
* Expertise in developing and implementing methods to improve controls and reduce operating costs.
* Knowledge of the impact of regulation on recordkeeping and records retention (knowledge of wholesale banking operations and requirements desirable).
* Travel will be required as part of role (mainly in North Asia and infrequently to US).
* Some flexible working hours required.
