The IAS Quality Assurance Group requires a Senior Test Design Analyst who has 8+ years experience of performing test design and coverage analysis for complex business rule driven banking software. The candidate must be ISTQB Test Analyst Advanced qualified and expert in test design and testing techniques for building exhaustive coverage model for banking software (T24). **CIB Technology - International Account Services (IAS)**
The IAS Technology group are responsible for the a developing and implementing banking software for the International Demand Deposit Accounting (iDDA) platform. International DDA holds all cash accounts needed for banking products including core cash accounting, liquidity products and statement processing. The application is developed on a T24 banking software that provides an Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) across 90+ branches across the globe. The group has multi-phased software development programmes running concurrently throughout the year. The group are located in Bournemouth-UK, Bangalore-India and Mumbai-India.****

**Senior Test Design Analyst**
The IAS Quality Assurance Group requires a Senior Test Design Analyst who has 8+ years experience of performing test design and coverage analysis for complex business rule driven banking software. The candidate must be ISTQB Test Analyst Advanced qualified and expert in test design and testing techniques for building exhaustive coverage model for banking software (T24).
**Key Responsibilities**
A low-level, realistic description of the tasks and responsibilities that will be expected of the incumbent.
As a direct report to the Global Test Design Lead, the candidate will be responsible for designing test conditions, building test data and test cases for core T24 core banking software.
The candidate will be product expert in Core Accounting, Statement, Interest, Tax and Liquidity banking products.
The candidate will develop junior team members and conduct training to the wider QA group on functional domain specialism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with the BA’s and product teams, producing and designing test plans and test cases to ensure functional requirements have been met. This will include analysis of complex system flows and data profiling to ensure data conditions provide full functional coverage
* Develop domain knowledge of the iDDA application and specialize in core functions that have been assigned by the team lead.
* As subject matter expert of the T24 application, provide functional guidance to the team and ensure test cases are appropriately detailed and are scheduled in an efficient manner.
* Design and build test cases ensuring testing methodologies have been applied and ensure requirement traceability is maintained.
* Own and manage the test data for the function and ensure that it is configuration managed
* Ensure test assets are managed and configuration managed with HP Quality Centre.
* Attend all design walkthrough’s related to the functional specialism and review all IDDA design documentation, ensuring that functional requirementsstandards have been considered and identify and raise any functional issues.
* Review and identify regression impacts of related functional changes and ensure that they are documented and incorporated in the automated regression test suite
* Working with the IDDA T24 Automation team to validate the automated regression suite and ensure new functionality is incorporated correctly
* Assist the on boarding and training of new resources
* Define and own the data management and configuration management approach of all test design assets ensuring reuse and modularization of all assets
* Review and sign off test design for junior team members and own the data requirements for the function.
* Produce and deliver training and knowledge transition material for all joiners within the team.
* Become SME for the T24 application, understanding the database and build out SQLXML repository to effectively exercise and validate the application.
* Produce regular status reports and articulate status to key stakeholders within the technical and business communities.
* Coach and mentor the team members on Test Design best practice and approaches.****

Qualifications
**Experience / Key Skills**

The candidate must be an expert in test design competency, have extensive experience in decision table and pair wise testing techniques and applied them to business rule driven application.
The candidate must have extensive experience in the system testing phase of the testing lifecycle. **If the candidate experience is limited User Acceptance Testing only please do not apply. **The candidate must have a proven track record in functional testing financial or banking sector applications. Exposure to T24 software and products would also be an advantage.
Exposure to testing transactional real time message based applications would also be a significant advantage.
Essential Skills:
* Excellent test analysis and design skills, with demonstrable experience in designing test conditions using coverage test techniques such as decision tables and pair wise testing
* Significant exposure to test design coverage tools for Pair Wise testing, including Hexawise or equivalent
* Capable of analysing complex requirements and design specifications and design test cases to prove specifications
* Demonstrable experience of building test data for complex business rule driven application based on condition analysis
* Worked with complex data model and familiar with data driven approach to testing
* Good domain knowledge of banking sector application, preferably Treasury orientated including Core Accounting, Statement, Interest, Tax and Liquidity banking products.
* Exposure to testing real time distributed message based applications that provide core banking services and are heavily interfaced **(not just web UI test experience)**
* ISEBISTQB Advanced Level Qualified Software testing accredited or equivalent.
* Excellent knowledge of SQL and XML and Xpath query language to interrogate databases
* Excellent understanding of testing methodology and analytical skills to ensure functional condition coverage is exhaustive
* Experience of using test management tool HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM11)
* Demonstrable experience of using Donfiguration management tools for managing test assets such as Subversion.
* Excellent communication skills and dealing with multiple distributed teams
* A self starter who can adapt and respond effectively to changing requirements and priorities
* Excellent attention to detail with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Delivered process and implemented Pair wise testing and used test design tools (Hexawise) at previous engagement
* Knowledge of swift based format and other finance messaging standards
* Good understanding of xml and service orientated protocols
* Experience of Middleware technologies preferably WebMethodsIBM MQ Series
* Experience of managing and working with software vendors
* Experience of using integration test tools such as GreenhatRational Test Workbench or equivalent
