Job Description

**Position Summary**

Alternative Investor Relations Operations provides an end-to-end service offering to alternative investment clients (hedge funds, fund of hedge funds and private equity funds) and their investors. Position provides leadership and oversight for execution of the department’s strategic change agenda. Position works closely with the VP of Alternative Investor Relations Operations, site leads and business line partners in the creation, development and execution of the Division''s overall business objectives, revenue and profitability goals.

**Key responsibilities**

**Role will: **

* work with the AIS IR Operations team to execute strategic change agenda
* work in the EMEA Investor Relations Strategy & Architecture Group which is responsible for strategic change, business support including integration of new business, UAT and liaising with OCM, risk and audit partners
* Support the end-to-end re-engineering of our operating model
* Aid in the implementation of tactical improvements
* Assist with product development to define and deliver our 2014 IIs
* Assist in driving adoption of “follow-the-sun” service model
* work together with the Investor Relations operations teams in the EMEA region to ensure adoption and rollout of all tactical and strategic initiatives
* Regularly and accurately report on all relevant AIS IR key performance indicators.
* Aid with operational controls, policies and procedures are in place to mitigate risk to its clients and their investors.
* Manages to meet financial (revenue & expense) objectives.
* Work closely with other departments for the timely and effective delivery of services and to meet business objectives.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

**Selection Criteria**

* A basic understanding of the alternative investment servicing industry with knowledge in investor relations, regulatory practices and operations.
* Ability to lead and influence across a matrixed environment; proven ability to assist in implementing solutions and delivering against timeframes and budgets.
* Proven team work and leadership experience. This would include providing direction, coaching and effective feedback to team members.
* Possesses strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work efforts.
* Sensitivity to regulatory as well as risk and control matters
* Possesses and displays excellent written and verbal communications skills; including experience conducting formal presentations to potential fund clients.
* Proven examples of effective decision-making skills when faced with multiple alternatives.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with other staff members.

Qualifications

**Educational Requirements**

* Bachelors degree required
* Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience

**Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required**

* Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Outlook (or similar email program).
* Proficient in project management software such as MS Project.
* Prior knowledge of Hedge Fund Accounting/Investor Relations systems.

**Position Demands**

* Extended hours/weekends may be required during integration/implementation of new business or systems, as well as during peak cycles (year-end, month-end, tax season, etc)
* Flexible work hours required to meet operational needs.
