JPMorgan Chase's Emerging Services (ES) group, within Global Technology Infrastructure, evaluates and develops new technologies, and applies them to the needs of business services. The solutions developed within Emerging Services are aimed at keeping JP Morgan Chase on the leading edge of technological development to give the company a competitive advantage by supplying high quality firm wide solutions to complex problems.

A brand new GTI Chase Online team is being formed to address the development of the infrastructure and platform application stack in support of the new next generation Chase Online program. This team will develop a new reusable set of solutions comprised of software, hardware and network services focused on creating a service that application teams can leverage to more quickly and securely design, build and deploy internet facing web properties. These solutions will leverage extensive automation to deliver solutions at scale in various bare metal and virtualized environments.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst working in Emerging Services' Chase Online Team, you will be responsible for leading the process development and management for efforts associated with developing new service based technology platforms within the GTI Emerging Services organization. Specifically this role will leverage business process management concepts and methodologies to design, model, execute, monitor and optimize the Emerging Services creation of new offerings and manage and improve existing offerings. This role will also include working to manage small to medium size projects, driving the creation of project plans, developing effort tracking and reporting metrics and providing insight to technical staff on best practices around project and process management. The team will work heavily with efforts associated with infrastructure (hardware, OS, networking and storage) components as well as application development efforts so experience with these areas is preferable. Additionally, the qualified candidate would be expected to consume new concepts and processes quickly.

Responsibilities:

* Create and maintain a common process framework that allows the creation of reusable technologies in a service orientated technology organization, coordinating with application and infrastructure technologists
* Lead the creation, improvement and appraisal of business and technology processes
* Accountable for leading assessments, process mapping, solutions and service reviews with technology and business stakeholders
* Develop and maintain formal process documentation including procedures and process flow diagrams and implementation maturity model assessments
* Leverage data and analytic tools to highlight process improvement opportunities for the
* Manage multiple small and medium sized projects in accordance with the standard Delivery
* Drive facilitation and resolution of issues that would present a risk to on-time implementation of programs or projects
* Process including scope, budget, schedule, and identification of risks and provide status reports to internal teams and management

* Create, implement, and adhere to operational and technical standards, best practices, processes and procedures (problem/change/release/request/procurement management; incident/service/time reporting)
* Gather and document requirements for in-scope development work and changes
* Identify and implement areas for improvement within operational and technical processes/ implementations and maintain related documentation on a continuous basis
* Create or provide input to weekly reports, including periodic activities and projects (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint)
* Ensure all ad hoc and periodic activity and project reports are completed and distributed as needed
* Design and develop documentation describing the use via the most appropriate delivery mechanism (e.g. hardcopy, hypertext, and online help)

Qualifications

* Demonstrable experience working on complex programs, projects, and large cross-functional teams
* Strong quality assurance and process improvement experience - past operations policy and process development
* Experience with management methodologies such as CMMI, ITIL, BPM, TQM, BPR or CPI
* Data Quality and Analysis Skills
* Ability to review data from multiple sources, understand it’s meaning, determine trends and areas of concern
* Priority & Time Management
* Ability to stay on task and on schedule to deliver required reporting by multiple, non-flexible deadline
* Demonstrable knowledge with functional requirements specification, complex project scoping, project management, and resource planning
* Strong communication skills - ability to work across teams to solve difficult, complex, and often politically charged issues
* Past experience within an IT organization in the Financial Services industry preferred
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area, Master's degree preferred
* Minimum 4 years experience interaction with mid level management
* Ability to positively influence people at a variety of levels; both internally and externally
* 2-4 years IT Project Management experience
* Excellent consulting / relationship management skills
* Ability to negotiate / mediate difficult, complex, and often politically charged issues
* Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of a variety of software, including project management (MS Project), flowcharting packages (For example: Visio, Holosofx, IBM WBI Workbench, iGrafx, ARIS, webMethods BPMS, TIBCO) and other MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Access
* Business Process Management (BPM) tool experience
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills necessary for various audiences including executive management
* Experience leading geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
* Experience and knowledge of Technology Infrastructure systems and solutions including SAN, NAS, Backup (NBU/TSM), Windows, Unix, Linux, AIX, and Virtualization

Preferred Qualifications:

* ITIL, PMI or Six Sigma Certification
* Understanding of Agile and Scrum development concepts
* Previous experience working in service orientated technology organization
* Comfortable with the concepts of DevOps and working in that capacity
* Individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
