Job Description
The ABL Senior Field Associate will perform a wide variety of due diligence activities at client/prospect facilities related to ABL credit facilities, core middle market credit facilities and Investment Bank ABL credit facilities. The primary activities range from collateral (generally accounts receivable and inventory) valuation and analysis, evaluation of accounting system controls and data integrity and managerial control reviews. In addition, other activities may include investigation or reviews of "deal-specific" matters (which may range from viability of business, projections analysis, accounting treatment items, diversion of funds, etc.), fraud investigations and forensic accounting review. Examiners are required to document procedures performed in work-papers and complete a written report summarizing the results of the review. Field examination clients range in size from $5 million to well over $1 billion.

Field Exam Associates are contributing members of the Business Credit Loan Process team. The roles and responsibilities that all Field Exam Associates must exhibit include:
Performing project planning which includes assessing risk based on size of company location or collateral characteristics
Interacting with clients and various deal team members (originators, underwriters, portfolio managers and/or credit officers) to communicate our scope, and to plan and execute the field exam_._
Performing on-site reviews of clients and prospects companies, which include developing a valuation model or borrowing base; utilizing current asset collateral (accounts receivable and inventory) and evaluating the supporting business processes, information systems and controls for such working capital items
Reviewing accounting records and other financial information
Performing quantitative analysis and various tests, including physical observation and counts of inventory
Communicate significant findings and potential areas of concern to applicable deal team
formal reports
Providing support for the syndication and deal execution process

Qualifications
Successful candidates possess an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration (or related field experience). Candidates should possess 7+ years of ABL Field Examination experience or equivalent CPA experience. High importance is placed upon possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills. We seek highly motivated, independent, proactive, and team-oriented persons. Strong computer skills necessary with working knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of the data mining software (Monarch or Idea) preferred. **There is approximately 50% overnight travel required**
