**Job Summary**
**Position is located in Okinawa, Japan.**
The Material Handling Laborer shall perform physical tasks to transport or store materials, label boxes and prepare material for disposition. Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading trucks or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or pallet jack or forklift, applying labels to individual items, manually separating removable components and destroying items to be recycled.
+ Must meet security clearance requirements.
+ This position has a rotating shift . When required, you may be subject to shift changes, weekend, holiday and overtime work.
+ Shift work, weekends, mandatory overtime (with proper notice given) and cross-training can be required in order to meet daily/weekly workload requirements.
+ United States citizenship or acceptable proof of naturalization prior to employment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manually loads or unloads freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices.
Unpack, shelve, or place hazardous waste (HW) and hazardous material (HM) in proper locations.
Transport goods by hand truck, cart, or forklift.
Comply with all applicable contractual programs and regulations, i.e. tools, safety, security, HAZMAT, support
equipment, housekeeping and prevention programs.
Verify HW and HM against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage.
Route HW and HM to prescribed storage locations.
Store, stack or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Rearrange, inventory and examine stored materials; reporting deterioration/damage.
Process material from storage and prepare it for issue.
Perform janitorial duties for office areas, common areas and latrines.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

**Minimum Requirements**
+ Prior computer skills desired.
+ Use of warehouse equipment, include forklift/MHE desired.
+ Must be physically capable of lifting 25 pounds, standing on stepladders and reaching overhead , etc.
+ Night work may be required.
+ A valid vehicle operator license is required.
+ Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
+ Position may require travel.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of hazardous material and hazardous waste preferred.
