**Description:**
Sotera Defense Solutions is currently seeking a **Field Service Technician** with a current **TS/SCI** clearance located in **Okinawa, Japan.**
The **Field Service Technician** will:
System Supported: JADOCS
JADOCS processes, stores and manipulates critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) information. It provides users with an integrated set of tools for data management and analysis, mission planning, coordination and execution of a variety of capabilities. The technology is employed on existing LAN multi-service headquarters architectures to provide horizontal and vertical integration of data that is resident on existing systems of record, and JADOCS operates within available bandwidths in echelons where it is deployed. The JADOCS application resides on Commercial-Off-The-Shelf/Government Furnished Equipment (COTS/GFE) personal computer platforms.
The selected candidate will provide expert and second tier technical support and analysis to field engineers and technicians. They must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components. They will have knowledge of and know how to use operating systems and database management systems. The selected candidate will be capable of performing analysis of system operations as well as reviewing system and network configurations to ensure the successful implementation of services into production. They will apply diagnostic techniques (including fault detection and isolation) to identify problems, investigate causes, implement corrective actions and recommend solutions to correct common failures. They will also maintain network stability through advanced troubleshooting, timely resolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability and optimal Mean Time To Repair.
The selected candidate will provide expert and second tier technical support for the installation and repair of complex systems and outages. They must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including:
• Hardware configurations
• Adding, removing and replacing hardware components
• Use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools
• Reading of electronic circuit schematics
• Repairing printed circuit boards if necessary
The selected candidate will answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of designated systems and services in addition to providing informal training to customers.
**Requirements:**
Minimum requirements include:
A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is desired but not required.
TS/SCI (limited positions only require SECRET)
Required Certifications:
8570.1 M IAT Level II Compliance - satisfied by any one of the following:
- SSCP
- CCNA-Security
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
