The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the marketing strategy across the Cepheid portfolio. Through strong leadership and comprehension of the true needs and expectations of the customer, the Manager will develop, manage and execute a compelling marketing strategy that aligns with organizational objectives to meet/exceed business revenue/margin goals.

Execute commercial launches and initiatives to gain market leadership position:

* Implement marketing and commercial product launch and support plans for IVD and RUO roll out
* Develop brand identity; responsible for developing key messages, sales support collateral to lab, physician, patient/advocacy, channel partners and funding/reimbursement segments
* Develop programs to generate demand to achieve and exceed the revenue goal
* Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), national/regional Professional associations, Patient Advocacy groups to gain technology and product endorsements; leverage testimonials to drive awareness and test demand campaigns within the hospital and independent laboratory segments
* Develop and execute initiatives that result in demand generation to support achieving the revenue goal
* Support a program that result in the hub-and-spoke model shifting from central lab testing to local in-house testing; expand testing, drive near-patient test initiatives via targeted/directed programs (i.e., Emergency Department)
* Design and conduct on-site customer engagements collecting information to generate case studies and quantifying the impact of the Cepheid value proposition.

Develop and support Cepheid business units and strategy by:

* Develop and support market research to assess market and competitor trends
* Support development of 5 year revenue models for global markets
* Provide ongoing updates to Cepheid Leadership Team,

Primary regional business interface and cross-functional representative:

* Interface with global marketing teams in the US and EU
* Serve as key contact with sales and wholesalers for input and interpretation of issues that impact product performance, sales, quality, cost or reliability. Has primary      responsibility for working with appropriate groups such as Technical Support, manufacturing and product support to resolve these issues as required

* 5+ year experience in Marketing in the Diagnostics or Pharmaceutical Industries
* A Bachelor of Science degree with strong emphasis in life science, business, or the equivalent industry-related experience
* Demonstrates knowledge of products and markets; communicates effectively and strong team player/collaborator with various internal constituent, customers and other stakeholders
* Excellent presentation skills; ability to multi-task across broad number of products and disease states
* Prior product launch experience is essential; prior product development experience would be important
* Established experience in creative product branding and marketing across lab, clinical/healthcare provider, and patient segments
* Demonstrated experience of translating science into marketing messages is required
* Tactical thinking and in depth understanding of the current market environment is a requirement
* Experience working directly with thought leaders and KOLs in relevant areas is required
* Strong market analytics skills required
* Proficient in speaking and writing in English.
