An exciting and rare opportunity to lead the mass marketing for Amazon Video, the biggest Movie and TV streaming service. We are seeking a talented and experienced marketing professional to lead our above-the-line marketing. This activity which is biased toward TV but has also included bursts of activity across Outdoor, Radio, Press, Cinema and Online. This role will also will lead our events calendar with the support of line management. These events could be supporting our latest new content launch, our latest new functionality or celebrating our newest device. These events will be supported by a broad range of marketing channels but this role will play a lead role in keeping these channel owners up-to-speed with any calendar changes and ultimately pull together everyone’s activity plans into one summary Events document for VP review.

As an Associate Social Media Community Manager, you will be responsible for managing organic social media channels for Amazon Video. This role is focused on developing and executing social media activities in support of all Amazon Video products, including Amazon Originals and Exclusive content in Japan, with the goals of increasing brand and series awareness, engagement and demand generation. You will work with the Sr. Marketing Manager, Social Media and the greater marketing team to exploit these opportunities. This is an opportunity to implement and execute social strategy across platforms to attract, engage and delight customers in the exciting streaming media industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

+ Work with the Sr. Marketing Manager, Social Media to develop innovative and creative social media content plans, manage the editorial calendar and implement organic social advertising campaigns

+ Clear understanding and frequent use of social networks, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

+ Write social media copy for social platforms in order to support brand and show priorities

+ Ability to storyboard creative concepts for all mediums and work with designers to execute

+ Source external online content that can be integrated into social messages across all platforms

+ Monitor, report and evaluate trending conversations, industry trends and competitor activity

+ Bring new and creative social marketing ideas to the table to integrate into the social media marketing program

+ Push the boundaries of social media innovation

+ Evaluate the performance of social media campaigns using data and optimize content plans and copy to increase impact on business results

+ Coordinate and collaborate with both internal social teams across Amazon for cross-company campaigns

+ Bachelor’s degree

+ 2+ years of social media experience required

+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

+ Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities to optimize organic social media campaigns

+ Excellent copywriting, proofreading and editing skills

+ Understanding of social media platforms that ensures content is optimized for the platform

+ Ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs

+ Relentlessly high standards and a high attention to detail

+ A top-notch wordsmith

+ Advanced Excel capabilities, including familiarity with VLookups, Pivot tables, and other such functionalities

+ Experience in the media industry preferred

+ Keen interest in the social media industry

+ A pop culture/movie/TV junkie, with a high degree of FOMO on the latest trends

+ Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
