**Role Summary:**

The Talent Acquisition CoE Director is responsible for the Talent Acquisition strategy and execution within Japan. Specific responsibilities include defining and executing the go-to-market talent attraction strategy for the region in line with the business priorities and being the guardian and champion of the candidate journey and hiring manager experience.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

You will help align to global recruitment standards (including full adherence to compliance processes), drive simplification, efficiency and technology optimization, provide leadership and coaching to the team, and act as a senior liaison between regional business and HR leadership, global functional management and peers, and relevant external stakeholders.

In this role you will -

• Set the recruitment strategy for the country in line with the APAC direction

• Provide guidance, operational standards and leadership to the Talent Acquisition Team

• Partner with business leaders and main stakeholders to define and understand recruitment/ hiring needs

• Align Talent Acquisition goals and objectives with business initiatives and priorities

• Responsible for building pipeline capability and coaching, developing and ensuring a high-performance team environment

• Responsible for the quarterly operational reporting and the ongoing collection of VOC from the business

• Engage with business and HR partners to deliver effective “One HR” support and outcomes for stakeholders

• Represent Talent Acquisition at a senior management level for the Country

• Drive the execution all HR and business related initiatives in accordance with GE timetables and requirements – including people and financial reviews and processes

Operational/Process

• Monitor service level agreements that cover key deliverables to clients; drive closure and delivery on current vacancies per defined metrics including quality, speed and cost.

• Participate in Headcount and Strategic Workforce Planning activities to ensure GE has the appropriate information to deliver an annual strategy for delivering projected headcount numbers for the Region.

• Set effective work mechanism to ensure the right Talent Recruitment resources are assigned to support the business recruitment needs.

• Ensure GE recruitment suppliers are appropriately engaged with approved terms and efficient work practices

• Oversee the education and coaching of Line & HR Managers on hiring processes; developing in-house skill sets - interviewing skills, selection techniques etc.

• Develop and execute an appropriate channel strategy for the local region maximizing the use of direct sourcing techniques and minimizing the reliance on third party agencies

• Increase GE employer brand awareness, drive candidate engagement initiatives through different channels across Japan

• Support the movement of internal talent

• Recruiting for the future - improving the image of GE to be an 'Employer of Choice'

Enhance GE Technology and tools like ATS and CRM systems to provide transparent and compliant hiring experience to business and candidates

**Qualifications/Requirements:**

• Extensive direct team management and leadership experience

• Preference for recruitment domain expertise in an in-house, RPO or agency / head-hunter environment

• Proven experience in building team/function capability and driving process improvement and projects from inception to completion

• Demonstrate an understanding of, and involvement in, recruitment practices from volume to executive hiring including proactive sourcing and talent management

• Deep knowledge of effective leadership and execution of recruitment or related HR strategies from within Japan

• Metrics and reporting experience to track and assess performance and productivity of the team

• Executive presence and effective communication to influence and deliver against senior leaders’ priorities

• Organization skill - work under pressure and deliver multiple tasks against competing and tight deadlines

• Demonstrated leadership experience

• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and negotiation skills (must have fluent / business level English language skills; fluency in Japanese is required)

• Advanced coaching and problem solving skills

• Ability to interpret and communicate policies related to employment and compensation practices

• Clear thinker and skilled problem solver

• Ability to manage a highly matrixed environment and dealing with ambiguity
