Define and maintain the relevant and efficient retail and online distribution footprint for each active brand Assess the current distribution network for PK and WAT Identify the strategic partners to support our Growth Game Plan and develop support plan Define the best model for ROTRING and identify relevant partners to work with for ROTRING relaunch - Implement related partnerships Continuously identify / map out retail and online distribution universe and potential, within agreed channel priorities, monitor the development of each trade channel and understand the opportunities it provides to the company’s key brands. Develop related distribution strategy in tandem with the Channel Marketing team to ensure optimized presence – highlighting key retail / online customers in focus Constantly review all existing customers - recommend to retain, replace or add new customers Manage JAPAN Sales team in order to achieve agreed financial targets Assess and adapt sales structure to changing external environment when required – in agreement with Japan GM. Constantly monitor and drive sales team efficiency, through proper people development plans and regular performance tracking. Lead active Distributors/Wholesalers relationship Conduct distribution partners (wholesalers) reviews on a regular basis. Drive efficient customer programs / lead key accounts management Drive and implement efficient sell-through annual programs with key partners, including marketing and sales activations for NPD launches and core lines growth. Negotiate customized activation opportunities with key retailers, with the support of the trade marketing team – track performance Monitor and analyze major customers sales performances and recommend corrective actions when needed (incl. staff improvement) Implement company’s pricing policies and ensure that such policies are being adhered to at all times by the entire sales organization Continuously monitor key competitive activities and develop the necessary actions to protect or enhance Newell Rubbermaid’s overall market share Participate in the company’s S&OP process Actively participate to DAM meetings Act as strong partner to Operations team Qualifications College degree in business or a related field 8-10 years of Sales, Management, and/or Retail Channel experience in progressive FMCG Strong Leadership Skills Strong analytical and organizational skills matched with creative drive, able to track and assess sell-out performance and program ROI. Experience in preparation of budgets, forecasting Effective project management skills Good negotiation skills and attention to details Superior Teamwork Skills Excellent written & verbal communication skills in Japanese & English Experience in multi-national companies Demonstrated experience in international sales management (outside of Japan) is a plus Demonstrated experience in online business development is a plus Ability to evolve to manage an extended scope including additional markets / brands Strong Presentation Skills Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills Ability and desire to multi-task.
