Position Overview

We are putting together a team of talented Account Executive to further develop our footprint with the largest and most influential corporations in Japan in an accelerated timeframe\. The Account Executive is a Sales position responsible developing and closing business within a set number of named Japanese

accounts\. These sales are large and solution focused in our key enterprise space, and will involve coordinating a virtual team which includes Product Specialists, Systems Engineers, Professional Services and Partner Business Managers\.

Responsibilities

\- Responsible for selling the complete VMware solution, products, and services within a specific geographically or vertical focus\.

\- Vertical focuses are Finance; Manufacturing; Telecommunications; Retail Services; West Japan

\- Develop a sales strategy and account plan for each key account which focuses on relationships, technology and revenue

\- Become as intimate as possible with assigned accounts and bridge the gap to executives while increasing VMware mindshare

\- Solidify existing customer accounts and elevate VMware to a more strategic position within all accounts

\- Present the VMware solution as a ‘platform’ within an account and change the role that IT plays within that account from being considered a cost burden to a strategic deployment

\- Manage complex enterprise sales campaigns while managing a diverse set of partners within the same accounts

\- Match the VMware solution to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements

\- Be an active team participant sharing ideas, leads, and support to team members

\- Ensure required reporting and forecasting are completed as required in a timely manner

Requirements

\- Minimum of 3 years of experience in related software industry with selling role to Japan top accounts

\- Must have experience in selling in or around ‘platform’ sales with a solution sales focus

\- Proven track record of quota over\-achievement in a highly competitive environment

\- Consistent performance in top 10% of peer group

\- Proven ability to build relationships and effectively sell to senior executives and CIO

\- Experience leading a virtual team of professionals in sales campaigns that include Sales Executives, Pre\- SalesSE, Inside Sales,

Field Marketing, Professional Services, etc

\- Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to build and present high quality product demonstrations to executive audiences

\- Strong customer\-facing and relationship building skills

\- Strong self\-starter with a proven track record of accomplishment

\- The ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage multiple large opportunities is critical

\- BA/BS or equivalent required

\- Native level Japanese language skill
