Job Description

Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

Provide the following information assurance engineering services/functions:

+ Investigate and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.

+ Develop logic, codes, tests and debugs software packages.

+ Identify system requirements for operations and security, and works with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components.

+ Perform system designs, developments and product verification testing on power, control systems, software, hardware, and equipment.

+ Develop the operations, management, integration & security requirements.

+ Develop and documents system architecture, including relevant user cases.

+ Develop security procedures for design reviews, and for operational monitoring, recording, and responding to security events.

+ Develop the client/company operations & system integration plan including end-to-end scenarios including schedules and budgets.

+ Develop verification plans based on requirements and architecture documents.

+ Define operations, security and integration tool requirements to allow users to evaluate and analyze their network resources for performance and scalability in test-bed and modeled environments.

+ Package and engineers releases to integrate with the company's operating systems.

+ Develop and modifies complex software, such as routines supporting multiprogramming, telecommunications and file management.

+ Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts. May review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modifications.

+ Produce internal cyber intelligence to characterize threats based on observed cyber activity through incident analysis and campaign tracking.

+ Participate in the development and execution of live-fire attack simulations to assess the command's security posture and identify opportunities for improvement.

+ Communicate tactical and strategic threat information to business leaders to assist them in making cyber risk decisions and to mitigate threats.

+ Perform acquisition and basic knowledge to moderate static/behavioral analysis of malware specimens to determine the effects on internal systems at both the host and network level.

+ Monitor and research industry trends for the development of cyber security training topics on a weekly basis.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

Qualifications

5-8 years of related experience in data security administration.

+ 8+ years related technical experience in Information Assurance practices and Cybersecurity technologies, tools, and techniques, with 4+ years of experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment.

+ In-depth understanding and experience with the DOD Architecture Framework and other key DOD network architecture and strategic planning instructions.

Must possess one of the following certifications: CISA, CISSP, CASP, GCIH or GCED.

+ Knowledge of, and experience with, TCP/IP protocol suite and network packet analysis.

+ Possess Strong knowledge of current information security threats, techniques, and landscape, as well as dedicated and self-driven desire to research current information security landscape.

+ Possess strong conceptual and practical understanding of IT Infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services; this should include knowledge of computer network protocols, firewall functionality, host and network intrusion detection systems, operating systems, databases, encryption, load balancing, and other technologies.

+ Contractor should have experience in the following technologies:

+ Mcafee HBSS

+ Flying Squirele

+ Wireshark

+ Microsoft Active Directory

+ Group Policy

+ Microsoft SQL Server 2012

+ Microsoft Windows Server 2008 & 2012 R2

+ Microsoft Windows 7/10 desktop

+ Developing Powershell scripts

+ Cisco Routing Experience
