Each committee of the Industrial associations (JAMA, JSAE etc.,) & other related parties/organization elected from Technology, Operation and other functions.
**Mission/purpose of the job**
・Inform and share the result of the PA activity under the UD Trucks policies of PA.
・Provide UD Trucks with “early indications” and input regarding legislation, development and trends within the society, as a basis for strategic decisions.
・Build and Maintain a good relation with municipalities which company locates in order to perform our corporate activity efficiently.
**Scope (Local, Sub Regional, Regional, Global) and influence (Internal or External, Shared or Divergent)**
Main of the scope is Japanese domestic and includes some Asia region.
Gather information and share it inside. Perform an external organization (e.g. including ministries and government offices, municipalities and JAMA) and negotiation.
**Key responsibilities/accountabilities**
・Improve the status of UD Trucks in the Japanese Heavy Duty vehicle industry through acquiring of the advantageous business conditions , eliminating bad conditions for UDT
Especially,
・Decide upon the proposal of the Heavy & Medium Duty vehicle (Tax incentive, Public subsidies etc.) based on the governmental plan and the policy objective to meet the target of UDT, and propose to the related committee and sectional meeting of JAMA to be reflected in a concrete activity plan.
・Explain/negotiate the necessity for the proposal of the Heavy & medium Duty vehicle to the Authorities(METI,MILT etc.) and a Diet member, as the representative of UD Trucks.
・Cooperate with the economic organization with which shares the purpose (Japan Automobile /
Dealers Association, Japan Trucking Association, Japan Bus Association etc.）for realization of a government request.
・Make a good relation with important members of Government, each municipalities, economic organization etc.
・Support technical activity about the regulation trend in the future.
・Manage regulatory internal meeting and make regulation road map for Japanese market.
**Position**
・To authority of Japan, the technical or political measure of a Heavy & Medium Duty vehicle in the auto industry is drawn in the right direction, and the measure is realized.
・Give the right position as UD Trucks to Japanese authority and related parties, and the understanding permeates in them
・In each municipalities in which UD Trucks is located, communication is smooth and trouble does not arise in corporate activity.
**Position**
・University degree or appropriate academic qualification
・Skill and accumulation of experience level through OJT of Japanese style negotiations
**Department, Division or Global Function**
・Wide knowledge about the strategy and contents of products of UD Trucks.
・ Ability to understand the system of Japan (taxation and subsidies etc.), the policy decision method,
and to correspond.
・Knowledge of the Japanese Heavy & Medium Duty vehicle industry and Related business(body-installation, maintenance, etc.)
・Prudent and bold negotiation capability.
・Ability to build a good relation with the negotiating partner, and take quick and suitable
communication in activity
・Well knowledge of UD trucks organization and related stake holders.
・There should be experience about technology development.
**Necessary technical/functional/language skills**
・Natural Japanese communication level and negotiation skills, both orally and in writing.
・Skill of logical negotiations performed by being backed by abundant experiences, knowledge, and data.
・English skill in which communication and making reports are business level
