EVENTS, JOURNEYS + WEBINARS!
The Heart + Wonders of Wales: Wales
June 18-29, 2014
LAST CALL!!!!
Wales is otherworldly – lush green valleys filled with morning mist, craggy mountain peaks reaching to the clouds, a coastline to stretch the imagination to the horizon and a formidable reputation founded on legends of druids, wizards and witches. As the last retreat of the inhabitants of ancient Albion, the Welsh are still connected to the “olde ways.” Even today this depth of history and tradition is present in the very fabric of the land.
In twelve days we travel through breathtaking countryside, see stunning coastline, take a train ride up Mount Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales and visit memorable sites. Ancient dolmen and cairns, a legendary Abbey, cathedrals, village churches, a truly unique village, traditional historic towns, the capital city, wells, waterfalls and two castles, including having a medieval banquet in one of them!
Our spiritual journey to Wales takes us across this small but diverse country. We will walk in footsteps of the Druids of old as we explore this mysterious landscape and it’s many sacred sites and stunning landscapes.
Trip tuition: £2340 based on double occupancy, Single occupancy supplement: £300 – many meals included.
Details for Wales here!

Exploring the Wondrous World of Solo Spiritual Journeys!
by Ales Struna
There are many ways to experience a Spiritual Journey. As you have browsed our website you’ve already seen some wonderful itineraries and experiences which probably make your heart beat just a little more with joy and excitement.
These journeys are all in depth explorations where you will have the opportunity to immerse into the world of yourself with the support of a spiritual teacher, as well as the high energy and the beautiful surroundings of the destination you are traveling to.
Another kind of Spiritual Journey, the one I would like to talk about in this article, is a journey which you do on your own, with your loved one or a small group of dear friends, combining sacred sites and experiences with leisure time for yourself to do your own spiritual practices, pamper your body and soul at an amazing spa and enjoy the fascinating surroundings of the country you are visiting at your own pace. I also call this a “Spiritual Journey Lite.”
Having created numerous of these highly customized itineraries for my clients to places like Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and Bhutan, just to name a few, one of my personal favorites includes the land of smiles, Thailand which can be combined with a side trip to Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the island of Gods, Bali in Indonesia or any other country you would like to visit in South East Asia.
A typical itinerary could look something like this:
Your journey will begin in the bustling city of Bangkok where you will have the opportunity to experience some awe inspiring temples and join in for some meditation with the locals as well as become a part of their local culture.
Bangkok is also an amazing city to bless your taste buds with some very yummi foods during a tour of the floating market and a walk through the culinary delights of China Town.
After a couple of days in Bangkok you will be much more acclimatized to the new time zone and it’s time to travel to Thailand’s North where life is a little more laid back, especially once you are venturing out of the city limits.
One of the highlights is an early morning, watching the local monks collecting alms in the streets of Chiang Mai. It’s a beautiful and unforgettable experience in which you can participate with the guidance of our local tour guide.
Afterwards your guide will take you to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a Buddhist Temple build into the mountain to watch the sunrise over the valley and the city of Chiang Mai. Not only will you have amazing views, you’ll also be at the temple during a time when it is very quiet, giving you some precious time for your own meditation. I still remember my own experience, feeling so much peace and goose bumps running through my body during these early morning hours.
A beautiful quote from Rumi comes to mind: “The breezes at dawn have secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep!”
There is also the option to spend a couple of days at the Tao-Garden, a unique educational health retreat outside of Chiang Mai where you’ll learn to become your own teacher and healer through the retreat center’s holistic philosophy drawn from the Taoist foundations. Your stay here will include, three healthy buffet style meals prepared by an experienced chef following the Tao Five Element Diet, Morning Internal Qigong Exercise, Evening Tao Yin Practice (Chinese Yoga) and Six Healing Sounds Meditation.
After having been nourished spiritually it is time for some R & R for which I recommend to stay in one of the resorts I specifically choose for this purpose in the South of Thailand. One of my personal favorites is the Rayavadee in Krabi or the Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa on the island of Koh Samui.
Throughout your journey you will have caring guides, which I have hand-picked for our clients, giving you an authentic experience of this beautiful country.
If you have some extra time, there are also options to do a side trip to the breathtaking ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia or a trip extension to the island of Gods, Bali for a few days.
If you would like me to create an amazing journey for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me, it will be a great pleasure and honor to design the most unforgettable and inspiring experience, just for you.
May all your travels stir your soul and change your life forever. ~ Ales
For the last 25 years I’ve traveled all around the world and during this time I have lived in a wide variety of places ranging from the Hawaiian Islands and Alaska, to cosmopolitan cities like Frankfurt, London and Vancouver, Canada, which I now call “Home.”
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a passion for travel and as my travels have taken me all across the globe to some of the most awe-inspiring regions, allowing me to experience its colorful cultures and wonderful people, I love designing unique itineraries and give others the amazing experiences I have had throughout my travels.
It is always a challenge to answer when people ask me what my favorite destinations are as I find all of the over 40 countries I’ve been to amazing in their own way but South East Asia and Africa are on top of my list. The beautiful little country of Slovenia will always have a very special place in my heart as this is where I was born.
