2:16 Jason Hoggan was second in the Open in the South Central Region and hopes to qualify for the CrossFit Games for the second time when the Regional is contested from May 23 to 25. Hoggan talked about his new coaches and his improved Olympic lifting, and he gave his opinion on the Regional programming. Small errors can be very costly in many events, and Hoggan has a plan in place to deal with the element of risk. Hoggan was able to watch the first two weeks of Regionals and explained how he’s adjusted his plan based on what he saw. 13:30 Cole Sager won the North West Regional with a consistent performance: He placed fifth or better in every single event. Sager, who has been doing CrossFit for 18 months, said his college-football experience helps him in competition, and he spoke about his mental preparation for the weekend. Sager comes from a power/strength background and explained why he was able to do well on gymnastics movements. Finally, he spoke about training partner Rory Zambard, who also qualified for the Games.
