Performing Arts Freelance Content Editor

JOB DESCRIPTIONSeeking freelance content editor to help new start-up grow its community by creating site content to promote upcoming performing arts events across the U.S.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Creating content: identifying key performing arts events and also events in the family and comedy area, and posting pictures and videos
Ensuring a high level of quality and accuracy of content
QUALIFICATIONS- Participation in social media (including Twitter and Facebook)- Working knowledge and appreciation of all types of performing arts events (plays, family shows, comedy)- Strong online research ability- Flexibility and willingness to take on a wide variety of assignments and work at a fast pace under time constraints- Familiarity with spreadsheet software such as Excel and ability to work collaboratively within documents on Google Drive
ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONIDEAL CANDIDATE- Interested in a wide variety of performing arts events, from Broadway shows to ballet and dance to comedy shows- Experience covering and/or creating content related to the arts on a professional print publication/website, or arts marketing-related experience (including internships)- Bachelors Degree or higher in journalism, communications, theatre or related field of study- A dedicated individual who is looking for freelance work or supplementary income
