Easter is on the early side this year — April 5th, to be exact. Where I live here in the northeast, Easter can often be quite chilly. It isn’t unheard of to wear tights and a long-sleeved sweater with an Easter dress! Of course, not everyone is subjected to such ungodly temperatures for Easter Sunday so I’ll share outfit options for everyone.

For those attending church and/or a nice brunch, a traditional Easter outfit would consist of a dressy pastel suit (I remember a lot of ladies wearing suits on Easter back in the day) or dress, along with white gloves and a hat and white or black patent pumps or sandals.

These days, our churches and society in general has become more casual overall, and most of us have ditched the hat and gloves, and oftentimes the dress or suit, for less formal attire. Our church worships in a school gymnasium, and while most of us try to look nice for church, it isn’t necessary to dress to the nines.

I’ve been known to wear white jeans, a cute top and wedge sandals on Easter Sunday. I wore this a couple of years ago. Pardon the crazy wind-blown hair.

Last year, I went the dress route, and I wore this outfit. Navy and white is another traditional color palette for Easter.

Of course, these days, pretty much anything goes, and it largely depends on where you’re going and what you’re doing. If you’re just headed to your mother’s house for dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt, you might be fine wearing your favorite jeans and a white tee and a few fun accessories.

There’s probably no need to go shopping unless you want to, but since it’s fun to shop, let’s take a look and see what we can find. This navy sheath at Banana is a classic. I’d pair it with nude pumps and accessorize with gold. And also, you can get 30% off full-priced items or 40% off full-priced items at Banana Republic through Sunday, March 1st, when you pay with your BananaCard, GapCard, or Old Navy Card. Use code: BRYOU.

If you like a more casual Easter look, I love this silk popover blouse in Peach Flower. It would be gorgeous with white pants or white jeans and some delicate layered jewelry.

I know I’ve linked to it a few times lately, but I still love this floral keyhole sheath at Ann Taylor.

And if you live in a warmer climate, this polka dot maxi is adorable.

For a more casual look, I love these polka dot pants with a dressy tank. She dresses up the look with heels, but you could wear flat sandals as well.

White House Black Market has a nice selection of dresses as well as pants and tops. This pink fit and flare dress is adorable, and you could wear it with a cardigan if you’re in a cooler climate.

I love this colorblock layer top in pastel hues.

Or this striped tunic with white or black pants would be a nice look.

If Anthropologie is more your style, they have some super cute dresses too. I love this Peony Silk Organza Dress. I’m assuming it wouldn’t be that short on us mere mortals.

Or how cute is this Kerala Embroidered Shift?

I could sit here and window shop all day, but that should be enough to get you started!
