Have you ever heard a typical actor's political beliefs?

They are naive. They are not rooted in reality. They are ultra-socially liberal. And they decry any loss of civil liberties for national security.

Netflix's idea of releasing 13 episodes of original programming - like House of Cards - is ingenious and befitting of the times we live in. Case in point. I heard many people say they we waiting for the last season of Breaking Bad to end so that they could bing watch it all at one time. It also allows a show the ability - with 13 hours of viewing time - to take its time and not rush character development and allow poignant moments of silence to breath into characters and their interactions.

But having said that - having watched all 13 episodes of House of Cards Season 2 - the plot line was downright unbelievable, silly and disappointing. But that's just my opinion as to the art. What really bothered me was the unfettered Hollywood propaganda that permeates the show.

Cyber-terrorism is real. House of Cards make it out to be nothing more than an invasion of privacy.

While I am an extremely tolerant social liberal; House of Cards injects a disproportionate share of time reminding us that they are pro-abortion and that many people - men and women - are either overtly or closeted gay. There is a difference between being tolerant and being blatant to advance an agenda.

Certainly politics has a certain portion of self-preservation and self-advancement - I have expressed that many times - but House of Cards pays no heed to any degree of realpolitik. Its 100% cynical.

And that is most certainly done by design. House of Cards knows people are fed up with Washington and it serves up 13 hours of red meat.

Hollywood's genius is to present content that is oversimplified to viewers who want to despise. Not a majority of despising; but 100% of despising.

And in doing so, it allows their liberal and naive biases, more oxygen to breathe.
