A senior European official has warned that Israel will face consequences if it pushes on with settlement constructions. The EU ambassador to Israel, Lars Faaborg-Andersen, says that if the controversial constructions leads to a failure of the talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Tel Aviv will have to pay a price. He says that Israel could face deepening economic isolation, not only by private economic actors but also from official European organizations. He says European officials have held debates on possible EU-wide actions such as labeling or even banning settlement products exported to Europe. The international community, including the United States and the European Union, consider Israeli settlements illegal.
To discuss that further, I now join Mr. John de Nugent, who is a blogger and commentator, and he is joining us live now from Pennsylvania. Sir, thanks a lot for joining us now. Should this warning be seen as a serious one to the Israelis?

Well, actually the main problem is that the Zionists have tremendous economic leverage over the United States government and over the governments of the European Union countries…. especially [over] the principal country, which is Germany.
Germany has been made extremely dependent on exports to other European countries and to the United States, and so forth, and the Zionists can turn on anti-German propaganda, talk about World War Two, Holocaust, Nazis and so forth, and make the world immediately hate the Germans again. Then the German economy will collapse. This is just one example [of how....]; there’s also an anti-Iran hate campaign in the American media. They can just turn this on very quickly.
I was living in the United States with a French wife when France, Germany and Russia refused to go to war [along] with the United States and invade Iraq — and my wife was physically attacked in a Borders bookstore in downtown Boston, on School Street, right near the government buildings, by somebody who had watched Fox News Channel.
He had been watching the American media; he had heard that the French hate America, they are ungrateful for our help to them in World War Two, and he took his elbow and bashed her twice in the back while she was just leafing through a French magazine!
So the media controls the American government and the media controls the European [Union] government. So whether John Kerry or Barack Obama or the president of the European Union, anybody who “threatens” Israel or pressures Israel will soon be told who their master ist.

Right, and so, speaking about this hatred, and we have just about under a minute left, Mr. De Nugent, I want to ask, going forward, do you believe that this BDS campaign, this “Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions”, is it pretty much not going to be successful then? Is that what you are saying?
JdN:
Yes, it will never be successful. Basically, the Mossad [the Israeli CIA] and its “friends” in the American CIA, and in the MI-5 and MI-6 in Britain, and in France and Germany and Spain and Italy, and everywhere else, they blackmail politicians. They know about sex scandals, drug scandals, stealing money, and corruption of different kinds.
And there are many Europeans and Americans, and Canadians and Australians, who feel sympathy for the Palestinian people, who want true peace in the Middle East, but the secret police in every country has personal dirt on them, or they invent dirt. They make up lies! And the next thing is – the newspapers are full of [reports about] a divorce scandal, a mistress, drugs, and so forth.
So there are many people who would like to speak out, and say the truth about Zionist power. And, you know, my own wife was appalled by crushing of the Palestinians [in 2003] in the village of Jenin by Ariel Sharon. That is what changed her completely, and made her think about politics again.
But people are afraid, and it goes beyond that.
