This is Britain’s GCHQ how-to guide for Online Covert Action which, according to Glenn Greenwald has been shared with US agencies like the NSA. Upon review, it can only be described as government-sponsored subterfuge of domestic society.
According to these latest documents, there are paid government agent/contractor persons on social media posing as someone they are not, whilst on the payroll of the government. Their job is to befriend members of the alternative media, embed themselves in the ebb and flow of day-to-day communications, and then to engage in elaborate subterfuge – by any means necessary. The training exercise below uses terms like “befriend”, “infiltrate”, “mask/mimic”, “ruse”, “set-up”, “disrupt”, “create cognitive stress”, “use deception”, “ruin business relationships”, and “post negative information on appropriate forums” – all of which is not only illegal and morally bankrupt, but also runs completely contrary to the very fundamental ‘values’ and indeed founding principles, of a modern free democratic society or constitutional republic.
Government targets in this malicious operation appear to be bloggers, activists, journalists, social event organisers and anyone else deemed to be a ‘emerging leader’ or voice in the public sphere, or alternative media online.
This obviously extends way beyond the practice of employing paid ‘trolls’ to pollute comment sections and redirect forum threads – which still exists under both government and corporate umbrellas.
“Over the last several weeks, I worked with NBC News to publish a series of articles about “dirty trick” tactics used by GCHQ’s previously secret unit, JTRIG (Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group).
These were based on four classified GCHQ documents presented to the NSA and the other three partners in the English-speaking “Five Eyes” alliance. [The "five eyes" are the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand.] Today, we at the Intercept are publishing another new JTRIG document, in full, entitled “The Art of Deception: Training for Online Covert Operations”.

Is it OK for the NSA (or GCHQ) to use taxpayer dollars and technology that was intended to prevent foreign attacks to discredit American citizens? Are these extreme tactics of deception by our government honorable?

Who is Carlos Porter? Now Porter has a vicious screed up against me, one of five online character attacks on me by various online superheroes over the last six months, and calls me :

LIE. Carlos, I know you turned your back on your country and maybe they let you stay in England because you work part-time for the GCHQ (the British NSA).
But “filing” is not how elections work here. You cannot “file” some mere paperwork and thus become a recognized candidate.
First you must obtain, by door-to-door street work hundreds or thousands of signatures, and the voting commission must then inspect and validate them!
In my case, as an independent for sheriff, I needed a minimum of three hundred seventy-nine perfectly valid signatures and matching addresses.
But I was advised by the registrar of voters of Armstrong County herself to get twice that number because certain voting commissioners [ = hostile ones] seek to disqualify signatures if any part of the name is even slightly misspelled as it appears on the voter rolls. A voter may sign his name as HE or she thinks it appears, such as “Bob Smith,” or “Robert Smith,” but on the rolls it is “Robert James Smith” and that meaningless discrepancy disqualifies the signature, even if the address is correct!
2) Then, when he “dropped out of the race” (on Internet radio, so nobody would notice),
