Depending on the candidate, the position will be located either in our IT hub in Derby (UK), or in our Headquarters in Berlin (Germany), reporting to the Manager ERP Operatons IS.
SCOPE OF THE POSITION
The Senior Business Analyst SAP BI (ERP Analytics), supports the analysis, the definition and the deployment of Business Support analytic models and Business Intelligence solutions. You will conduct analysis on data quality and validation to identify opportunities to improve the existing solutions.
You will define, deliver and standardize analytic solutions & services in alignment with the business needs and market trends while also offering support for transition into service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES
Business Demand to Architecture
- Identify & evaluate business requirements together with other BT IT core functions;
- Translate business requirements into IT requirements;
- Collaborate with IT Architects in the requirement analysis and solution definition;
- Validate and evaluate current IS architecture against requirements;
- Initiate projects including effort estimation in coordination with other IT departments;
- Lead the creation of functional designs and drive the implementation of end-to-end solutions in order to improve and/or develop solutions/services in place;
- Definition and creation of BI solutions for KPIs measurements and business impact;
- Represent the IT interface to the business for the SAP BI solutions & services
Solution definition & transition to service
- Standardization, simplification & integration of existing IT analytical solution/services;
- Contributes to solution definition while also acting as a lead for project delivery;
- Develop strategies to build support for changes in regards with SAP BI solutions/services;
- Manage the end user acceptance, adoption and support process for IT analytics/big data related solutions/services including training of key users;
- Ensure integration of IT analytic solutions/services across functions supported by other IT Applications and IT Infrastructure area.
Innovation & continuous improvements
- Asses existing solutions and develops new ones by evaluating market trends in the field;
- Ensure end-to-end service performance is aligned to meet the defined SLAs;
- KPIs definition & reporting to identify business impact and improvement potential.
YOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 7 years of previous professional experience in the field of Architecture, Applications and/or Business/IT Consulting with focus on ERP (SAP) analytics/big data solutions/services;
- Proven record of relevant experience with full cycle involvement in SAP deployment projects (areas such as/QA/Manufacturing/Planning/Logistics/Procurement/others);
- Expertise with SAP BI is a must while knowledge of other similar and/or related tools like SAP BW, BW BEx, SAP Hanna, SAP BO, IBM Cognos, SAP R/3 reporting, Maximo is desirable;
- Good understanding of end-to-end business processes analysis and experience with deploying and/or developing SAP reporting solutions/services;
- High affinity for analytics/big data solutions while also good stakeholders management and communication skills as you will interface with various IT and/or business areas;
- Willingness to travel (30-50%) and a Bachelor degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management and/or Information Technology related fields;
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English are mandatory. Additional languages as German, French, Spanish, Italian will be a plus.
