What are we looking for?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become our

Sales Development Manager

You will be responsible for developing the hotel business through innovative, structured and pro-action sales activity, the purpose of which is to increase year on year revenue and exceed targeted results.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, with a 'can do' attitude. You will have the confidence and ability to undertake proactive sales activity to include telesales & some face to face sales. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to seek, find & convert new business. We would expect the successful candidate to have a flexible approach to hours of work to ensure that the needs of the business are met whilst demonstrating flexibility to embrace new trends and changes

Duties will include:

Create a short, medium and long term business plan

Have specific focus on encouraging greater numbers of residential conferences

Develop, increase and maintain local corporate business

Communicate Christmas products to clients and visits

Build relationships with Marketing Cheshire and take advantage of city-wide opportunities

Be aware of local developments and market shifts in order develop business ahead of the competition

Analyse STR and Hoteligence reports in order to switch business from competitors

Liaise with the Sales Manager and Revenue Manager regarding leads, referrals and in-house business

You will be responsible for executing and effectively maintaining a Sales Development Strategy to maximise the revenue potential within the hotel, creating and developing packages and offers to suits the needs of both the hotel and the market.
