THE COMPANY:

Established over 40 years ago our client is one of the market leaders in the manufacture and distribution in office/educational products. Products include a wide selection of noticeboards, whiteboards, flipchart easels, poster frames, signage display, panel display systems, literature display, office partitioning, meeting room furniture, educational storage furniture, audio visual furniture and the UK's widest range of portable and mounted projection screens. The company is now in a position to recruit for a Class 1 Wagon and Drag Driver

THE ROLE:

Your role, if successful, as a Class 1 Wagon and Drag Driver based in Rushden, will be to travel to the company's manufacturing head office in Kendal, pick up a full load of their products and travel back to the distribution site in Rushden. You will also be carrying out deliveries to schools and businesses with products. Our client has a brand new Class 1 sized vehicle on order and is looking to employee the right applicant to drive this vehicle across the 2 company sites and up to 10 drops per day.

Key Responsibilities of a Class 1 Wagon and Drag Driver to include:-

To ensure that daily safety checks on the vehicle are carried out on a daily basis reporting any defects.

To ensure that the products inside the vehicle is safely loaded before commencing the journey.

To remain professional at all times whilst out and about with internal and external customers.

To ensure that all correct documentation is taken and signed for and returned to Rushden at the end of the shift.

THE CANDIDATE:

Our client based in Rushden, are not looking for any specific qualifications, just previous experience driving a Class 1 vehicle. The successful Class 1 Wagon and Drag Driver will be flexible as early starts and some nights out maybe required. They must have previous Class 1 driving experience, ideally with Wagon and Drag experience but full training will be given to the right candidate.

Key experience essential for the role of a Class 1 Wagon and Drag Driver:

Clean driving licence(minor points may be accepted) and own transport is a must for this position.

To hold relevant Class 1 licence and CPC card is essential.

Previous experience driving a Class 1 vehicle.
