Mechanic (Semi-skilled)
Cargiant is recruiting a partially qualified Mechanic to join our busy and fast-paced Workshop. The Mechanic role at Cargiant is a challenging one which requires skilled individuals to rigorously assess vehicles in a high-volume and target driven environment.

About the role:
Perform mechanical repairs on motor vehicles, including MOT failures or repairs whilst working within Health and Safety Laws
Perform vehicle inspections, including Part Exchange Inspections
Verify vehicle service ability
Maintain vehicle job records on a daily basis and report any broken, faulty or damaged equipment to the management team
Using the steam cleaner to keep exterior of the vehicle clean
Draining and refuelling vehicles in a safe manner in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines
Carry out major and minor repairs/overhauls on vehicles and affected components, including engines, brakes, fuel systems, transmissions, steering, suspensions, drive lines and some electrical systems using a wide range of tools including specialist equipment
To perform mechanical repairs, inspections, maintenance, diagnostics in a professional manner
Essential competencies:
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Repairs
Experience in vehicle inspections and light mechanical repairs
Valid and full driving license
Good communication and administration skills
Ability to work on own initiative and to a high standard of workmanship
