Demolition Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reportable to: Projects Director
Interacting with: Management, Site Supervisor, Administrative Personnel, Clients Sub-Contractor

SUMMARY

Oversee projects from start through to completion, ensuring all site are productive, running efficiently and comply with Company Health & Safety policies and Legal Standards.

DUTIES

Support Site Supervisors in the effective running of sites.

Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Site Supervisors and Plant Operatives to meet aims and objectives of the required project.

Ensure safe working practices are implemented on sites at all levels.

Promote a positive and safe working culture to prevent injuries, penalties and prosecution.

Schedule the project requirements in logical steps to complete on time and on budget.

Control of project programme, ensuring sites meet programme requirements and work is kept on schedule, reporting and explaining any delays.

Determine labour and plant requirements for site accordingly.

Resource and oversee sub-contractors ensure safe work practices are implemented to meet Company and Legal requirements.

Motivate and supervise Site team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Assess project requirements and determine appropriate Demolition Methods with Project team.

Devise and implement suitable Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Safe Operative Procedures for project tasks.

Respond in a reactive manner to site requirements.

Apply solutions and take action to any project setbacks such as delays, bad weather or emergencies.

Consult with Site Supervisors, Design Professionals, Clients and other associated parties to resolve matters such as changes to Demolition Methods, complaints, discrepancies and/or any other issues that may arise from the Demolition works.

Inspect, review and monitor projects, report to Directors with regular updates.

Liaise and cooperate with associated Project 3 rd parties such as Clients, CDM Coordinators and Sub-Contractors.

Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Investigate any incidents, accidents or damage that may occur on sites ensuing correct Company procedures are followed. Evaluate projects upon completion and report to Operations Manager and Directors.
