*Meritorious Sportspersons.RESERVATION OF MERITORIOUSSPORTSPERSONS:Recruitment of Sportspersons against reserved vacancy shall be made only to following sports events:-

The following categories of meritorious Sportspersons shall be given preference in recruitment.
a)Those whohave represented West Bengal or India in a National or International Competition in sports discipline mentioned above.
b)Those whohave represented a University in an Inter-University Tournament conducted by Inter-University Sports Board in any Sports discipline mentioned above.
c)Those whohave represented State School Teams in National Competition for Schools conducted by all India School Games Federation in any spots discipline mentioned above.
OTHER CONDITIONS:The candidates will be appointed after being found medically fit provisionally subject toreceipt of satisfactory police verification reports.All positions are transferable anywhere in West Bengal. Candidates must have the ability to read, speak and write in BENGALI / NEPALIlanguage.MODE OF SELECTION:Selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview for allposts.Candidates called for Written Test / Interview shall not be entitled to reimbursement of travelling expenses. The Written Test / Interview will be held in Kolkataonly. Before applying online Candidates should keep the scanned copy of their passport size colour photograph andtheir signature in JPEG format of not more than 50kb size each.Guidelines for scanning photograph and signature is given in the Home Page of the online Application Systems.
Candidates will be required to register themselves through online system of WBSETCL’s website www.wbsetcl.inbetween 20.05.2014 to 09.06.2014(Midnight). (However application fee can be deposited between 20.05.2014 to 09.06.2014 up to 15:00hrs) Online Application Format available in the ‘Career’ link.
United Bank of India has been authorized to collect the Application Fee, in a specially opened non-operated current account on behalf of WBSETCL.Fees can be deposited at any branch of United Bank of India throughout India through a computer generated triplicate challan.Candidates has to approach UBI branch with a print out of the challan in A4 size paper which will be autogenerated by the application system after filling-up the Personal Data,Address,Educational Qualification and uploading the Photograph & Signature.On receipt of the fee, bank will issue a uniqueTranscation ID and SOL ID of the collecting branch.Candidates are required to LOG-IN again in the HOME PAGE of the application system to complete his / her online registration process by putting thisTranscation ID and SOL ID. In case of non entry of the Transcation ID and SOL ID the online registration process will not be completed and in that case no Call Letter for Written Test can be generated. Candidates belonging to General / OBC-A / OBC-B / Ex-Serviceman / Meritorious Sportspersons / Exempted Category / Physically Challenged categoriesare required to pay a non-refundable Application Fees of Rs.400/- for post under sl no.1-4and Rs.250/- for all others post. Bank will charge Rs.22/- additionally as Bank Service Charges.There will not be any others mode of payment of Application Fees. It may please be noted that the third part of the challan i.e the Company’s Copy will have to be submitted by the candidates at the time of Written Test along with the Written Test Admit Card.Without this part, No Candidates will be permitted to appear in the Written Test. Application fees can be deposited between 20.05.2014 to 09.06.2014(up to 15:00hrs).
Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee.
After applying online, candidates are required to take a printout of the Application Form generated by the system with unique registration number.
Intimations will only be sent by email andSMS only to the email ID and Mobile Number registered in the online application form.
Candidates shall need not to send any copy of the Application Form or challan through post.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Candidates are requested to ensure that they fulfill the Eligibility Criteria on the date of eligibility i.e as on 01.04.2014.
Issuing of Call Letters & subsequent test will be purely provisional without Verification of Documents. During the time of verification if it is found that any Candidate has not fulfill the eligibility criteria his candidature will stand cancel. Candidates called for Interview will be required to produce all original documents i.e Age Proof, Proof of Essential Educational Qualification, Caste Certificate (if applicable) etc.
Candidates will be allowed to appear for the Written Test only with Admit Card and Company’s Copy of the Bank Challan.
Mobile Phone,Scanner,Pager & Others IT Gadgets are strictly prohibated inside the Examination Centre of WBSETCL. At the time of Examination if any Candidates found with these instruments than his / her candidature will stand cancelled whatesever reason may be.
Cadidates can take their Question Booklet along with Duplicate Carbon Copy of the OMR for further reference after completition.Please make sure that before leaving Examination Centre Signature of the WBSETCL representative, Signature of the Invigilator & Candidates own Signature are incorporated in the OMR sheet.If not, then may plaese bring it to the notice of the Room Invigilator.
WBSETCL reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge / modify / alter the Recruitment Process, if needed, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason therefore.
Candidates employed in Govt. Departments / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies have to produce NOC at the time of interview otherwise their candidature may be cancelled at that stage.
Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Kolkata.
While applying for the above posts, the applicant must ensure that he / she fulfills the eligibility criteria including academic and professional qualificationsas per NOTIFICATIONand other norms mentioned above as on the specified dates.In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment / selection that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrect/ false/ wrong information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his / hercandidature will automatically stand cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is / are detected even after appointment, his / her services are liable to be terminated.
Category i.e SC / ST / OBC (A) / OBC (B) / Physically Challenged / Ex-Serviceman / Meritorious Sportspersons once entered at the time of online registration shall not be allowed to be changed under any circumstances and no benefits of other category will be admissible later on.
Wherever SGPA/DGPA/CGPAor letter grade in a degree is awarded; equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application (online) as per norms adopted by University / Institute.
All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail / SMS only. All information regarding examination schedule / admit card / interview call letters etc. shall be provided through e-mail / uploading on WBSETCL’s website. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card / interview call letter / any other information shall be of the candidates only. WBSETCL will not be responsible for any loss of email due to invalid / wrong e-mail ID provided by the candidate or for delay / nonreceipt of information if a candidate fails to access his / her mail / website in time.The E-mail ID & Mobile No should be kept alive for next 1(one) year from the date of application.
Application Form not properly filled in or incomplete in any respect or without requisite documents would be summarily rejected. Willful suppression of any material fact will also be similarly dealt with.
For every 3(three) incorrect response 1(one) mark would be deducted and if, more than one answer darkened against one question will be treated as incorrect / invalid response / answer. All questions will have to be answered on
specially machine designed gradable answer sheets (OMR answer sheet). Answers are to be marked using blue / black ball point pen only on the ‘OMR answer sheet’ are to be written in blue / black ball point pen.
