WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Following posts are to be filled up on purely temporary basis at the Medicinal Plant Unit, ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi in the project “Review Monographs on Indian Medicinal Plants Phase-IV”and “Quality Standards of Indian Medicinal plants”.
1. Research Scientists II (Two)
Qualification Ph.D. in Botany/Chemistry/Pharmacy; M.D./Ph.D in Pharmacology from a recognized university; 3 years experience in handling work relating to natural products/medicinal plants
Desirable (i) Experience in scientific writing, preparation of monographs,reports etc.
(ii) Working on databases (iii) Working knowledge of computers Age Below 45 years Salary Rs. 42180 pm (fixed)+HRA
Job Requirement
To assist in preparation, evaluation, scrutiny and finalization of monographs and coordination of the programme and all other related activities pertaining to the unit.
2. Research Associates (Three)
Qualification
M.D./Ph.D. in Pharmacology; Ph.D. in Chemistry/ Botany/
Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized university Desirable (i) 2 years experience in handling work relating to natural (for all positions) products/medicinal plants (ii) Experience in literature search by digital
and traditional sources in the field of medicinal plants (iii) Flair for scientific writing, preparation of reviews, reports, monographs, (iv)
Age Salary
Working knowledge in computers Below 40 years Rs. 23,000 pm (fixed)+ HRA

3. Senior Research Fellows (Four)
Qualification
M.Sc. (Botany/Chemistry/Medicinal Plants/Pharmacology) from
a
recognized university with
2 years experience in handling work
relating to natural products/medicinal plants or M. Pharma.
Desirable
(i)
Experience
in
literature
search,
retrieval,
scientific
writing,
dissemination
of
information
relating
to
medicinal
plants
(ii)
Diploma/Degree in computer applications
Age
Below 35 years
Salary
Rs. 18,000 pm (fixed)+HRA
Job Requirement
Literature search, retrieval and dissemination of information relating to medicinal plants/products, employing digital and traditional sources, compilation of information, preparation of reviews/monographs etc.
4. Personal Assistant ( One)
Qualification Graduate from a recognized university.At least 2 years experience of working in a government/PSU/Autonomous body of repute
Desirable (i) Must have knowledge in computer operations including typing 40 w.p.m, working knowledge of MS word, MS excel, MS power point etc.(ii) Able to take dictation and preferably short hand.
Age Below 28 years Salary Rs. 26,410 pm (consolidated)
Job Requirement
Drafting, noting, letters, typing notes, computer work ,data entry, organizing meetings, knowledge of computer applications/data management, assisting in administrative matters, handling of correspondence,maintaining records and furnishing of information relating to different projects..
5. Programmer (One)
Qualification MSc. in Computer Science/IT/MCA from a recognized university
Desirable 2 years experience in (i)scientific work on medicinal plants (ii) Experience search on online databases (iii) Experience in programming, website designing.
Age Below 30 years Salary Rs. 26,790 pm (consolidated)
Job Requirement
To assist in work relating to Review Monograph on Indian medicinal plants (The work may involve evaluation, documentation, computerization of data, literature search, programming, working of different databases, updation of website).
6. Technical Assistants (Two)
Qualification
Graduate from a recognized university with Diploma/Certificate (1
year) in computer applications.2 years relevant experience.
Desirable
Experience in documentation, proficiency in MS Office, working on
Databases, knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/photodeluxe.
Age
Below 28 years
Salary
Rs. 25,650 pm (consolidated)

Literature search, documentation, computerization and scanning/archiving of scientific information etc.,data management, working on different databases.
7. Data Entry Operators (Six)
Qualification Graduate from a recognized university with 2 years relevant experience of working in a government/PSU/Autonomous body of repute
Desirable (i) Diploma/Certificate in computer applications from a reputed institution (ii) Science graduates or experience of working in scientific institution or on scientific information related to medicinal plants /natural products.
Age Below 28 years Salary Rs. 15,200 pm (consolidated)
Job Requirement
Computerization of information on medicinal plants, preparation of presentation etc.
General information/instructions
The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The maximum duration of projects is upto 14-6-2015. The appointments, are terminable with one-months notice from either side without assigning any reason. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project. Benefits of Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession etc., medical claim are not admissible. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview, joining or termination of the services. Age upper limit as on the date of interview. Age relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC as per Govt rules.Age is also relaxable for meritorious, well qualified and experienced candidates who have worked in Govt/Autonomous set up and having relevant experience.Candidates possessing experience in work relating to medicinal plants/natural products shall be preferred
