Graphic & Layout Designer - Fargo, NDRequisition Number: 15-0479Requisition Number 15-0479 Post Date 9/22/2015 Title Graphic & Layout Designer City Fargo State ND Description Job SummaryThe Graphic & Layout Designer is responsible for creating a wide variety of graphically designed printed and electronic materials for the Noridian Mutual Insurance Company Enterprise. This position must be able to understand, interpret, and apply the various company branding standards when performing work duties throughout the organization, and must be able to partner with a variety of internal customers to meet large work volumes and deadlines.Essential FunctionsDesign of Graphic Materials/Documents:Develops, design or alters materials such as forms, brochures, posters, newsletters, corporate stationary and PowerPoints in adherence with company branding standards. Production/Layout Processing:Applies design expertise to handle the layout duties associated with various mediums, customizes mailings, prepares files for printing, prints posters and other documents, may trim and apply finishing details to materials prior to distribution.Project CommunicationInteracts with a variety of internal and some external customers; Gathers additional information or specific details relating to the project with the goal of keeping projects on track and deadlines met.Project TrackingUtilizes tracking system to capture all existing graphic design projects, and ensures notes are documented in manner that is understandableJob Specific CompentenciesCreative Problem Solving:Exerts creative thinking and independent judgment when regularly confronted by project issues and identifies the best course of action to manage the situation to full resolution in a timely manner.Prioritization Skills/Deadline Driven:Demonstrates the ability to determine and focus on the highest priority work tasks necessary to achieve goals; Ensures timelines/deadlines are met so overall business needs/objectives are fulfilled.Communications:Ability to transfer thoughts and express ideas visually, written and orally.Attention to Detail:Thoroughness in accomplishing a task or fulfilling a project through concern for all areas involved, no matter how small. Requirements Education Detail:Associates or two year technical college degree in Graphic Arts or Graphic Design is required. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Graphic Communications is preferred.Experience Detail:Minimum of 1 year work experience in a graphic design related area is preferred.
